BJ entered the girl's college freshman/sophmore lounge and collapsed dramatically on one of the couches. I'm so tired I could probably sleep for a week. Who knew flying back from the Bahamas can be so tiring? I didn't even get a wink of sleep on the plane. she thought.

Her thoughts were disturbed by the sound of someone approaching.

Martina opened the door to the lounge and walked in, not expecting anyone to be in it. She was taking a tour of the entire school. Martina had talked the principal (Headmaster/mistress?) into letting her get to know the school, even though she wasn't taking any classes this year.
Her long black hair was strightened and tucked behind her left ear was a red rose. She was wearing one of her only pair of jeans. These ones were dark wash, nearly black. Her shirt was a deep purple cami with lace straps with a seethrough lace bottom part. Over top, she wore a fitted denim jacket that matched her jeans. On her feet were a pair of strappy black high heels.
Martina spotted Bijou and imeditaly started to appologize "I'm sorry! I didn't think anyone was here, I'll just.. go?" Martina motioned to the door behind her.

Bijou was still on the couch when Martina opened the door. She sat up straight at the sound of the other girl's voice. Embarassed, she managed to reply, "Oh, it's okay. You can stay if you like. What a great first impression. BJ thought sarcastically and fought the urge to roll her eyes. "I'm Bijou, but everyone calls me BJ." she said, extending her hand, "And you are...?"

Martina smiled at the girl who had just introduced herself as BJ. She relaxed and walked over towards the couch. She perched on one of the arms, placing the files and folders she held in her arms on the coffee table. Where did this coffee table come from? Well, it's there because Eilee said so.
"I'm Martina" Martina took BJ's hand and shook it before asking "So, what were you doing before I so supply interupted?" Martina smiled and waited for a BJ to reply.

"Nice to meet you, Martina." Bijou said then added, "Well, um. I was... Erm, relaxing. Yeah, that's it!" She was still a bit embarassed and had a sheepish smile on her face. "So, what grade are you in, Martina?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

[OOC: I edited my post. Sorry, it's still kinda short. I just got back from LA a few days ago and my brain is still not working properly.]

Martina smiled at BJ. She took a few strands of her dark hair and played with them before sighing. Martina told BJ "Im actually not in a grade. I just graduated this past year, and im taking a year off before diving back into schoolwork." Martina smiled before adding"How about you?"

"That is so unfair! I remember my senior year in high school. It was the best year of my life. College isn't as easy as it seems. Plus, you get to take a year off before you get back to school." BJ pouted jokingly then added, "Some girls have all the luck." She gave Martina one of her usual smiles and waited for the other girl to talk.

Martina smiled lightly "Yeah, last year was the best part of my life probably.... I was still back in Texas then. This year, I don't have my best friends with me so..." Martina sighed, trailing off. This was happening to her all the time, more and more offten. I guess you could say that she was a little homesick. Okay, a lot homesick. Martina just had to keep telling herself that once she made more friends, things would get better. They had to.

Martina shrugged at BJ's comment about her being lucky. Curious, Martina asked "Why didn't you take a year off? I mean, they still let people live on compus, even if they arn't taking any courses..."
