Title: PENNER, Lisa
Description: Waiting_for my {C.H.A.N.C.E}

Lisa Penner - August 30, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
on {s t a g e}

    ;; FULL NAME: Lisa Natalie Penner
    ;; AGE: 21
    ;; GENDER: Female
    ;; GRADE LEVEL: College Junior
    ;; DAY STUDENT / BOARDER: Boarder
    ;; MAJOR & MINOR:
    Major: Creative Writing
    Minor: Theatre Arts
    ;; CLIQUE: Lisa tends to run with the more preppy kind of kids. Well, not just preps alone but more of the 'good kids'. You know, the kids who do exactly what they're told, get good grades and are basically perfect. After all, in all honesty, Emo or Scene kids scare Lisa. A lot.

    ;; APPERANCE: Put plainly, Lisa is gorgeous. Standing at 6'1, she's got legs and arms that seem never ending. On top of that, she's got the 'perfect' body type, though she doesn't have it naturally. No, her body type is mostly achieved by her many hours working at the gym. And her super fast metabolism doesn't hurt. But don't get me wrong; Lisa has a lot of amazing natural features.

    Take Lisa's entire face. She's never had plastic surgery, and probably never will. All the same, Lisa's face looks perfectly proportionate. She’s got eyes that are evenly spaced, and the perfect size for her face large. Her cheek bones are high and she’s got a perfect sized nose. And full pouty lips that drive pretty much every guy crazy, top off her face. On top of her lovely face, she's got the long, dark, wavy hair to boot. Of course, this is a result of a rather expensive perm (her natural hair is stick straight. ugh.) but it still looks good.

    Basically, Lisa looks like the model that she wants to be. But if you think that she's naturally got these amazing looks, you're seriously mistaken.
    ;; CELEBRITY: Jennifer Love Hewitt
    ;; HEIGHT: 6'1
    ;; HAIR COLOR: Lisa's hair color is a light brown, though sometimes she likes to dye it black. She always thought that black looked better with her skin tone. But as of right now, her hair is its natural light brunette color.
    ;; EYE COLOR: Hazel
    ;; BUILD: Lisa is built.... well, basically like a model. You know, tall and slim with a few very strategically placed curves. But believe me, though Lisa has sworn to herself never to tamper in the area of Anorexia or Bulimia, Lisa works extremely hard at the gym, the Pilates studio, etc, etc, etc to keep her build looking as 'perfect' as it possibly can.
    ;; CLOTHING STYLE: You know those kind of girls who ever impossibly high heels…. To the airport? … For a seven and a half hour flight? Yeah, that pretty much sums up Lisa’s style. See, she doesn’t have ‘those kind of days’ when you feel like putting no effort what so ever into how you look. When you’re an aspiring model like Lisa is, you never know when you’re going to meet a possible client. It’s because of that that Lisa puts a good two hours into her appearance every day before leaving her dorm. Even if all she’s got planned for the morning is back-to-back classes. That’s just how Lisa thinks. Who cares if she doesn’t need such a plunging neck line? Or 3 inch heels? It grabs people’s attention, which is exactly what she wants.

    ;; PERSONALITY: There was a time when if you mentioned the name “Lisa Penner” no one would have any idea who you were talking about, even if you’d been in the same class as her for the past three years. Lisa was never naturally out-going or bubbly to say the least. She was very withdrawn and didn’t socialize with other kids that well. She just was way too shy to talk to other kids. As you can probably guess that got her teased a fair amount during elementary school, and even the first few years of Junior High School. Why did the school bully always find it hilarious to pick on Lisa? The main reason was because she was way too shy and nice to yell at them or tell them to stop. Of course, she didn’t really need to. Considering her only friend was Brittany, an insanely loud girl who had to trouble screaming at Lisa’s tormentors. And I guess it’s because of dear Brittany that Lisa never learned how to stand up for herself.

    During high school, Brittany moved away so Lisa had to fend for herself. And she did learn how to be more outgoing and friendly. As a result, she made a lot more friends and high school was great for Lisa. Still, she wasn’t one of those bubbly girls that no one can ignore. She just wasn’t invisible anymore. During grade 10, however, Lisa realized that if she wanted to be a model she had to be un-ignorable. So Lisa spent hours in front of her full-length mirror working on her ‘model face’ which was basically a very bubbly, slightly spoiled girl without a care in the world.

    As it so happens, Lisa can now pull out her model face on a moments notice. But she’s never made an attempt to make that her full time self. No, that would be way too much work even for Lisa. If you were to meet Lisa, it would take a bit of prodding, but once you got to know her you would find that she really is an incredibly sweet girl. She just happens to be in the worst possible line of work.

    ;; HISTORY:
    Lisa is what some people would call spoiled. And yes, from the outside looking in, she does appear to have grown up with Daddy’s credit card attached to her hip. Plus, living in a pretty ritzy LA home didn’t help matter. The thing is, Lisa was never one of the spoiled brats that got everything they wanted, because something’s money just can’t buy. You would learn that very quickly if you became Lisa’s friend.

    Lisa was born to Daniel and Jennifer Penner on July 5th 1986 in the Los Angeles Hospital as Jana Lisa Penner. Within a year, her parents realized that naming their child “Jana” was a mistake. When people were talking really fast, you couldn’t tell the difference if they were talking about “Jen” or “Jana” so mother and daughter were confused on a regular basis. Realizing their mistake, Daniel and Jennifer started referring to Jana as Lisa and the name actually suited their daughter better than her first name.

    When she was a child, Lisa was like every other child. She didn’t get any special treatment, any expensive toys, nothing out of the ordinary. If you’re reading this, you’re probably a fair it confused right now. You’re probably thinking “Why is this relevant?” I’ll tell you why. You see, Lisa’s Grandfather was Michael Penner, the infamous lawyer who raked in million within a first few years of having a law firm. The thing that made Michael Penner such an amazing lawyer was the fact he could talk his way out of anything. And I mean ANYTHING. It was because of this that many celebrities enlisted his help when they got in trouble for say, a drug bust or drunk driving. As you can imagine, this brought in loads of money. This money was passed on to Michael’s only child, Daniel, when he died.

    Anyway, now that you know that Lisa’s family is basically rich, I can move along with the story. When Lisa turned 5 years old, her parents enrolled her in kindergarten. This kindergarten wasn’t your average school though. No, it was about as prestigious as kindergartens come. Actually, the entire school (Which was a K-8 school) was huge and pretty expensive. But Lisa was never really happy at The Los Angeles School For Gifted Children. She was smart by normal standards, but not really gifted. The only reason she was at the Gifted School was because her parents believed it was the best and safest place for her. On top of not being an exception student, Lisa was one of the shyest kids in the school if not THE shyest student. Her saving grace was Brittney, a girl that was smart enough and loud enough for the both of them. From Grades 1-8, Lisa lived in Brittney’s shadow unable to make her own friends, or express her own opinions.

    The summer between grades 8 and 9 was incredibly hard for Lisa. Brittney moved away, which made Lisa feel like she didn’t have a place in this world anymore. But just a few weeks before high school, Lisa realized something. This was a new beginning for her, she could be whoever she wanted to be. When she realized this, she talked her parents into letting her change from the prestigious ‘smart-kids’ schools to a regular public school. And Lisa thrived in High School! She made her own friends, grew into her long limbs and eventually ended up being 6’1 at the end of grade 10. She even made valedictorian for her Senior Class.

    After Grade 12, Lisa knew what she wanted to do with her life. She was going to be a model, and she knew that she could handle it. Of course, being 18 years old she thought she could take on the world. Since her parents refused to use their money to buy her into a modeling agency (which probably wouldn’t happen, no matter how much you tried to bribe different agents) Lisa tried to make her own way, but had very little luck. Over the next 2 years Lisa got a lot of connections to people and made friends with all the right people. She was still stuck doing Local LA mall fashion shows, and that didn’t meet Lisa’s need for perfection.

    It was then that she heard about Millbury Academy, a High School/College on the other side of America. It was such a large school, with such a broad age range, that Lisa knew that she could probably make a name for herself there. And maybe even meet the right people. So she got into the school and spent her 20th year at the school. The weird thing was, even though she was still ‘obsessed’ about becoming famous, Lisa made real friends. And the classes she took were amazing, she felt smart for the first time in her life!

    Now it’s Lisa’s second year at Millbury, and she’s told herself that modeling will not be put on the backburner to make room for friends and studies. No, this year will be HER year. It’ll be her year to make her mark in the world. At any costs.

Taking a deep breath, Lisa plopped herself down on a bench, closed her made-up eyes and tried to focus on the slight breeze.... the sun...  the flowers, anything really that would calm her down. What was Lisa so upset about? Well, nothing really. It was just anxiety in general. She had never been diagnosed with anxiety, but that's only because Lisa avoided doctors like the plague. And after all, Lisa wasn't really worried. Things just sometimes got really insane for her and she just needs to breathe sometimes. It was nothing, really. Well, every down and then she felt like she physically couldn’t breath because of the anxiety pressure, but that's a minor detail that no one needed to know about.

After what was probably ten minutes give or take, Lisa finally opened her eyes and felt like she could breathe again. It was a good feeling. What had brought on this panic attack of sorts? Well, it was only noon on Sunday and Lisa had been up since 4:00 in the morning. Now, what on earth could someone be doing at 4:00am on a Sunday no less? Well, when she'd first gotten up it was to the gym which was open always as long as you had a student card to open the doors. She had been there until 7:00am, and then it was time for a quick breakfast of fruit and then into the shower and getting ready for the  day. And that alone took her to 9:30am. From there she was planning on just going over some class things, but she'd gotten a call from her agent about the possibility of getting Lisa into a group photo shoot for a billboard. So of course Lisa had ended up getting no school work done and had been on her sidekick all morning texting and calling her parents, her agent and God knows who else trying to make the photo shoot happen.

It was only five minutes before she had made her way to the Courtyard that Lisa had finally gotten off her Sidekick long enough to  leave her dorm and run (literally, in heeled boots no less) to a calmer feeling place. Thus why she was here, trying to think straight again. Her eyes were burning from trying to focus on the small Sidekick screen all morning and her head was spinning with questions, prices, locations and who knows what else.

Despite her feelings of desperation, Lisa was looking like her regular model-wanna-be self. With her flaw-less looking face, perfectly wavy long dark hair and an outfit that had the perfect blend of the 'punk-rock' and the 'sweet and innocent' looks to it. Her shirt was made of a flimsy pink fabric and most of the front was covered by a silver sequined leaf. Because of the warmer weather, Lisa had seen no point in wearing a hoodie or jacket of any kind. On her lower body, a pair a light wash destroyed jeans clad her long, long legs. As for her feet, a pair of brown bootswith 4 1/2 inch heels covered them and were most hidden beneath her jeans.

No sooner had Lisa opened her eyes that her black leather hobo bag started to vibrate slightly. And along with the 'Thousand Miles' song, Lisa knew that could only mean one thing. Someone was texting her back. Most likely something about the stupid billboard ad. Now don’t get me wrong, Lisa wanted the gig. More than anything at the moment. She had been trying for so long to become a model that any gigs were good ones. But she was just... feeling over whelmed I guess is a good word. But she felt like that a lot, she was be okay. 'Just put on your happy face....' Lisa commanded her body as she reached into her bag.

Obviously her body wasn't going to listen, because before Lisa's fingers could find her jeweled Sidekick, two single tears made their way down her cheeks. Smearing her perfectly made up eye make up.
