The sweet smell of coffee filled Rainey’s nose as she entered the café. She walked right up to the counter and ordered a plain coffee and a bagel. She made her way to a table and put her bag down. Reaching in, she pulled out several packets of brown sugar and put in 3 of them. “No one ever puts in enough sugar,” she muttered, taking a sip of the scorching liquid. Next she pulled out a book and tried to get some reading before her next class.

10 minutes later, Rainey glanced at her watch and sighed. She put the book back into her bag and stuffed the napkin her bagel had been sitting on into the empty cup. She stood up and went to throw her trash away, still lost in the plot of the book. Abstint mindly she bumped into someone, "I am so sorry!" She said as their coffee coverd their shirt.

Vianka walked down the block heading to the cafe. She had her earphones in her ears and was bobbing her head to the beat. When she reached the door she adjusted her messengar bag and walked in. She pulled out an earphone to order her cappauchino and payed the person. She grabbed about 7 packets of sugar and put it in the drink. She had tasted there drinks once before and new from ecperince there cappuachinos always sucked. She stirred her drink and then took a sip to make sure it was just right. "Perfect,"she said a smile gracing her face. She had put her earphones back in her ear and was makiing her way over to the a table. She was wearing one of her N.N.F.A. shirt and a pair of jeans. She hadn't been paying attention as someone bumped into her. She groaned as hot coffee spilled all over her t-shirt. She looked at the girl anger evident in her eyes.

Rainey frowned. "I am so sorry," she said again. "Here, let me help." she ran to the counter and grabbed a handful of napkins. "Here you go, again, so sorry." she gave a nervous smile. "I'm Rainey,"

Vianka nodded, the anger vanishing from her eyes. "Its cool. Guess I'm gonna have to change though,"she said dabbing at her shirt. The earphones where touching the ground. "I'm Vianka."

"Nice to meet you Vianka." Rainey said, "Um, I think I might have a shirt from the play I'm directing." She looked through her bag and pulled out a small black shirt. "Um, I think it'll fit, but its met for a 12 year old boy."

"Well,,I might else well try it. I can't walk around with a brown stain on my shirt,"she said smiling. She took the shirt from Rainey and held it against her chest. "Might be kinda small,"she said looking at it, "Play huh? That sounds pretty cool."

“Yeah, working with the kids is great but I prefer acting to directing. Costumes are always tough; I can never get someone to do them so I’m always stuck with the job.” Rainey shook her head. “Here, let me buy you another coffee, what did you have?”

Vianka shook her head. "Its okay. I think the hot coffee that is currently all over me has woken me up,"she said laughing. "I could help out if you want. Never tried sewing before but i'm a quick learner."

Rainey laughed. “Coffee isn’t just for waking up; it’s for staying awake too.” She smiled, “If you’re up for it, we have a cast of 12, and it’s an old western play.” She glanced at her watch, “I have to go to class soon, maybe we could meet up somewhere afterwards.”

Vianka nodded. "Ya sure. We could meet somewhere." She looked at her watch. "We can meet in the afternoon."

Rainey smiled, “Cool, how about here at four, I’ll bring the script and we can talk.” She didn’t want to appear too eager, but the thought of having help was very appealing. “That is if you’re not busy, I have time all week, we can meet whenever you want.”

Vianka smiled. "No four is cool. I don't mind when." She pulled at the shirt it was starting to stick to her skin. "Maybe I should change this sooner."

Rainey laughed, “Yeah, maybe you should.” She looked at her watch again. “Well, bye. See you at four.” She half ran out the door, hoping she wouldn’t be late.

~Fast Forward to Four~ ((Why wait? Lol))
Rainey was back at the café waiting for Vianka. Maybe she won’t come. she thought, becoming a little nervous. Maybe she realized what a geek I am and how stupid it was to volunteer for this.

Vianka had already arrived. She was sitting in a secluded spot typing away at' her laptop. She took a sip of her cappuchino and smiled. She looked at the time and looked around. Rainey should be here any minute.She spotted her. "Rainey,"she said calling her over.

“You came,” Rainey said happily, walking over and sitting down. “Not that I thought you weren’t coming,” she smiled shyly. “Thanks again for doing this, its going to be pretty fun.” I hope. “Let me go get my own coffee, be right back.” Rainey got another plain coffee and added her own sugar. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a script and handed it to Vianka. “Easy one act play really, not that many costumes needed.

Vianka closed her laptop. She flipped through the script. "Sounds interesting,"she said reading a few sentences. She took a sip of her cappauchino. "Now what kinda costumes do you need?"
