Title: The Rules

[Admin] Kara - July 30, 2007 02:13 AM (GMT)
Writing and reading rules can be a pain, but they're here for a reason; to make this board run as smoothly as possible and ensure that everyone has a really fun time. Please try and read through carefully before registering and creating your character.

I. Registering.
[+] 01: Age. Please be at least 13 years old when you register. This is not personal or any kind of discrimination, merely us trying to abide by the rules that invisionfree has set.
[+] 02: Usernames. When registering a name make sure to include the first, middle and last name of your character. Messenger style usernames such as "deanluvspie" won't be allowed, but "Dean Winchester" would be perfect.
II. General.
[+] 03: Respect Others. It's simple; respect your admins and your fellow rp'ers. Don't start arguements/poke fun/say hurtful things. If you have an OOC problem then go to one of the admins, don't try and start a fight. If you have a problem with one of the admins then try and sort it out in a mature manner. The admins always have the last word so it's best to be respectful and courteous or you'll find yourself banned and deleted.
[+] 04: Don't Discriminate. If you cannot be tolerant towards other races/genders/sexual preferences/etc then why are you even here? This isn't the place for you so just turn and leave now.
[+] 05: Be Active. An RPG can't work if no one makes the effort to post. If you're going to be away for an extended period of time then let us know because if you don't post for over a week and we don't know where you are, your account will be deleted and your character up for grabs. Please post at least once a week.
[+] 06: Graphics. Graphics are fun, pretty, and they give us an idea what your character looks like. There's nothing wrong with that is there? So please make sure you have an avatar and a signature. Your avatar can be up to 100x100 pixels big but no more. Your signature graphic can be either a ) a graphic of up to 500x200 in size or b ) up to 8 icons of your character. Please don't make your signatures too big. If you need any help with obtaining graphics then make sure you go to the graphic request section.
III. Applying.
[+] 07: Location. Place all your applications as a new topic in this forum and nowhere else. If your application is found in another place then it will be deleted with no hesitations. Please also ensure that you clearly state whether your application is finished or not finished in the topic description. If an application isn't finished within 4 days then it will be moved to the abandoned forum and you may end up losing your face claim.
[+] 08: Wait. Please do not start roleplaying until your application is accepted and moved to the correct forum. Until you are accepted, your character does not exist, and you are therefore not able to use them. This makes things a lot less confusing.
IV. Roleplaying.
[+] 09: Godmodding. You can only control the characters that you play. Godmodding is strictly forbidden and can lead to warnings and possible bannings if you continue to do it. You cannot control what another player does and you cannot control their fate (e.g. killing them) unless you have both discussed it beforehand and gotten an admin's permission.
[+] 10: Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Your character needs to be realistic. Everyone has weaknesses and flaws and so does your character -the secret phrase is: dean loves pie- but that doesn't mean that your character has to be the most flawed person out there. Try to keep some kind of balance.
[+] 11: Cursing. Swearing is allowed as long as it's in character and not every other word that comes out of their mouth. Try not to make it too over the top or vulgar unless it's absolutely necessary to your character's personality.
[+] 12: Sex & Violence. Threads involving sex or violence are allowed but must be clearly labelled. Please do not get too graphic out of respect for others. The rating of this board is unrated but please try not to get overly detailed when describing sex, or get too porny about it, and if there's violence then don't mention all the gory details.
[+] 13: Spelling & Grammar. These are both important parts of writing. We understand that English may not be a first language for everyone, but please try to make an effort with a spell check so that the person you're rp'ing with can understand the post and reply to it. All posts must be written in third person, past tense. For example: Dean walked into the bar and looked around.
[+] 14: Activity. Please try to make sure that all your replies are made of 2-3 solid paragraphs. It's hard to reply to a post that is only 5 sentences long, so please try to add detail so that the person you're rp'ing against has a lot to work it. In the event that you have writer's block, it's acceptable, but don't make a habit of it.
[+] 15: Character Limits You may have up to five characters, three of which can be canon characters, but if you reach five and feel you can handle more then PM an admin to discuss it further. In the event you have more than six, it may be possible to take on another canon character. Please don't take on more characters than you can handle; if the admins see that a particular character isn't being used, then we may ask you to delete them so that others can use the face claim. Also, please keep an even balance between character types (demon, hunter, etc), also male and female characters. If you make a third character, they must be the opposite gender or affiliation of the character you created before.
V. Copyright.
[+] 16: The skin and sidebar coding was not done by anyone on this board and belongs to it's respective owners, though the skin was edited by us. Supernatural and it's characters belong to Eric Kripke, while all other original characters, plot ideas etc are property of our admins.
