Title: Character Types

[Admin] CJ - July 30, 2007 01:32 AM (GMT)
Not everyone wants a canon character; original characters are always fun to make, and play with, and we wouldn't want to take that away from anyone. To make everything more organised, there are six main "types" and your original character needs to be one of them. Choose wisely.

CIVILIANS;
    Civilians can be a hunter's best friend or their worst enemy, depending on the person. Many civilians who are thrust into their world can help with different things; research, smarts, even love. But there are civilians who don't believe in demons and vampires and choose to believe instead that hunters are murderers, thieves, and all around bad guys. They're out to get them, no matter what.
DEMONS;
    Demons come in all shapes and sizes, with a varied range of powers, and are often the target of a hunt. They will hurt, kill, and generally cause mayhem. Demons are strong and dangerous; many a hunter has fallen before them. After the Yellow Eyed Demon was killed, it was found that many of his "children" and other types of demons had escaped from the depths of Hell. These creatures are all still at large and very deadly.
note: Anyone can be a demon, but only select applicants can be one of the YED's children. We don't know how many children he has so let's try not to go too overboard.

HUNTERS;
    Hunters are the ultimate good guys. Often it's tragedy in their life that forces them to take note of the things that go bump in the night to get their revenge, but not all hunters can be ultra talented. Everyone has weaknesses and these warriors aren't a exception. Not all hunters are entirely good either; watch out for the ones who will stop at nothing to get what they want, even if it means innocents get hurt in the process.
PSYCHICS;
    Gifted (or cursed, depending on who you talk to) with the ability to use their brain for much more than thinking, psychics often have extraordinary talents. Some can read your mind, some can tell the future, and some can move objects without touching them. There seems to be no limit to what the mind can to do. Some psychics were chosen for a higher purpose by the YED but only very few survived. These so-called "Psykids" are rare and spread out. Some are good through and through, but some have been tainted by the YED.
note: Because of the implication that many Psykids had been killed through Battle Royale style tests, we are not accepting many of them. You are still more than welcome to be a regular Psychic, however.

VAMPIRES;
    Not much is known about these creatures; they don't follow many of the traditional vampire rules that have been set by Dracula and Buffy. They have many sharp teeth which are lowered over their human teeth and cause for a much bloodier death. While some of the vampires are ruthless killers, others have started to fade into obscurity by feeding on a diet of animal's blood only.
WEREWOLVES;
    Again there is not a lot known about werewolves, though some information has been picked up through personal encounters. Werewolves have enhanced strength and agility, as well as canine-like teeth, claws, and yellowed eyes when they transform. They very rarely remember anything that happens during their time as a wold. A person becomes a werewolf by being bitten or another, or in some cases scratched if the wound is deep enough. The only known way to kill them is by shooting them with a silver bullet.
