"it all started twenty four years ago at the winchester home in lawrence, kansas. while baby sammy slept, real evil crept into their home - first mary, pinned to the ceiling and slashed across her stomach. it would have taken the whole family, the house erupting in flames, if john hadn't rescued sam from his crib. putting him in the arms of a four year old dean, he told him to run. and run he did. john came out moments later, the house in flames. and since that night, things forever changed. having sworn to avenge mary's death, the hunt for the yellow eyed demon began.

present day, and things have shifted. after a dramatic showdown with the yellow eyed demon, not to mention the exchange for sam's life with dean's soul, the winchesters now find themselves in unknown territory. in the moments when the hell's gate resavoir opened, hundreds, if not thousands, of demons were released. dean killed the yellow eyed demon with the help of john's spirit, the last bullet from the colt taking the demon's life. but with the death of the YED and thousands of demons from hell unleashed onto the unknowing public, a war has begun. there is no turning back.

dean and sam continue to hunt, tracking down the demons that now turn up by their hundreds, all the while trying to find a cure to save dean's soul; no matter how much he protests. but with hellspawn thriving, it is only a matter of time. with the solution in no book and nowhere they know, things can only get worse when there are sightings of a storm, the same night the devil's gate is opened; in seventeen cities. harder to seperate friend from foe, especially when their friends are turning into their foes; the hunter community holds a grudge now, more than ever, against the winchesters. it can't get much worse than this.

with the increasing demonic posessions and hellspawn activity, it now only seems a matter of time before it escalates into a full out war between hunter and demon. every war has casualties, the price paid; but when will the consequences catch up with them present day? how long will it be before the world becomes a demon's haven, the civillians finding themselves the ones to take the fall?
