...We all lead such elaborate lives...
...Wild ambitions in our sights...In the wizarding world in England, life would appear to be perfectly normal. The year is 1975, and the Muggle world around them was changing, but the world of magic had been peaceful since the downfall of the Dark Wizard Grindelwald. However, much of the teachings of Grindelwald, and of so many Dark Wizards and Witches before him still remain instilled in the minds of many magic people across the world, especially in the realm from which Hogwarts pulls it's students. Former followers of Grindelwald have taught their children, and they have in turn taught their own. While more and more witches and wizards are accepting of Muggles, Muggleborns, and even 'half-breeds' like Werewolves, there have always been the few that believe there is nothing more important than blood...
...Seems quite unbelievable to me...
I don't want to live like that...Recently, however, there's been talk of the rise of a new Dark Lord... one more powerful than Grindelwald had become. Right now, these are just rumors, and many wizards think they're just circulating for the purpose of scaring Muggleborns and the 'dirtier' half-bloods away from the wizarding world. There was a great deal of cam paining by some (mostly purebloods and their ilk) that Hogwarts stop accepting Muggleborns for their own safety, but Headmaster Dumbledore stood firm on his beliefs: There is no safer place for a young witch or wizard than Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. And for the most part, he's right...
...Too many choices tear us apart...
...I don't want to love like that...Headmaster Dumbledore suspects the uprising of the growing group of students who ask more and more questions each day about the dark arts, or about what makes dark magic so powerful. He also knows very well that the rumors of the new Dark Lord are absolutely true... and has a rather strong hunch of who this new lord truly is. He has begun pooling his own resources in other powerful and clever wizards... including the students currently under his watch, namely James Potter and his rag-tag group of friends.
...I just want to touch your heart...
...May this confession be the start...This time of peace will soon erupt into a time of war... can love and friendship and hope survive with such dim horizons, or will the whole wizarding world fall into darkness? How could things ever be that simple when everyone is forced to lead
Such Elaborate Lives?
