Title: Movie GIFs
Description: Animation
randomkid - July 29, 2005 05:08 PM (GMT)
1. First Go to
Quicktime Movie Trailers, or anywhere with quicktime movies
2. Pick a trailer of a film you like, im choosing Fantastic Four, and concentrating on The Human Torch
3.When you get to a bit of the film you want pause it, now screenshot the whole page and past it into photoshop(quality is rubbish for smaller file size)

4.Now click on the film again and press the right arrow key, to advance a frame, screenshot the page again and paste into photoshop, on top of your last screenshot
5.keep doing it until the part you want is finished, a 20 frame gif is about 150kb mines is 26 frames (222kb)

6.Once you have all the frames pasted, crop the part you want, you will then need to resize it,Image>Image Resize ill resize mine 150x97pixels
7.Now the photoshop part is finished, save it and then open it up in imageready
8.Go to the animation window (below) and select make Frames From Layers

9.Now you should have all the layers as frames(obviously), now i set my delay at 0.1 secs, but you do whatever looks best.
10.click on the arrow in the animation window and click on Optimise animation, then click OK
11. Go to File>Save Optimised and your finished, heres my result

the final product came out better than i thought, as when the flame flashes right at the end, the name flashes in and it makes it seem quite seemless

That seem's hard to do, but thanks for the help! :D

honestly its not, try it, download my .psd file and you can see how easy it is to put into image ready, its not really hard just more time consuming
