Abstract Wind Tutorial

1. Create a document about 350 pixels by 130 pixels
2.Draw loads of black lines straight down, if you hold shift you will draw perfectly straight lines
3.Go to Filter>Stylize>wind, default settings, then press ok, press Ctrl + F to do the wind again

4.Now draw more lines but across the page
5.Rotate the canvas 90 CW and Filter>Stylize>Wind, press it only once
6. Rotate the canvas back (90 CCW)

7. Press Ctrl and J to duplicate layer
8.Now Go to Filter>distort>Wave
9. Click WRAP AROUND EDGES otherwise it looks crap, then press randomise until you like it then
OK
10. Set the Blending mode To DARKEN
11.Press Ctrl+E to blend the 2 layers

12. Then Ctrl + J again
13.Filter>Distort>Wave then randomize until you like it
14.Then filter>Stylize>wind USE THIS ONLY ONCE
15. Ctrl +e then Ctrl + J

***You’ll be getting bored but keep going***

16.Filter>Distort>Wave then randomize
17.ctrl+E then ctrl+J
18.Last time Filter>distort>wave then randomize
19.Filter>Stylize>wind
20.Now its up to you if its looking too dark change the blending Mode to Lighten and vice versa
21.Now Merge the layers Ctrl+E
22.Change the Hue and Saturaturation to Colorize it

ive decided to try a new of posting a tut (well for me anyway) lets see how it works, if it doesnt work ill post it up later xD

it doesnt work because it wont let me upload a 200kb file, cant you fix that fedekiller?? when the max file size is 500kb, anyway ill put it up on geocities

And sorry Randomkid... you are right... in the pattern... change the fill and the opacity :P lol... around 30%

ye cheers kasy i just came on to do it, i mananged to find a tutorial like yours and i sort of blended yours and the one I found together and got it working
