Title: Show?

So, I was on the Polysics myspace page a few days back and they have a tour date listed in September for a show at Volcano Sakurajima that lists Go!Go!7188 on the bill. I haven't seen this confirmed, but that would be great! I'll be in Japan at that time, and if I can find an option that won't cost the two of us $800 or so, we'll probably check it out if it's true!
Can anyone confirm this?

gogo doesn't usually list tour dates that far ahead. But if its just a one-off show they will probably say something about it soon. I think the band is still on hiatus from something wrong with Akko. Possibly and eye related problem. Once they come back from that I think we'll have a small flood of news again.
Either way, I'd say that show is probably real. I mean, gogo and Polysics are two major bands that I'm sure have lots of respect for eachother---and I'm pretty sure they've played together before.
p.s. It would be cool if gogo played "Sakurajima" at that show :D
**also, what are you talking about $800? Japanese rock shows don't cost that much :huh:

Yeah, it's definitely a one-off show, so i'm hoping that Akko's eye problem is better by then.
Well, we're going to be in Tokyo, and with the show being in Kagoshima on Kyushu, plane tickets round trip, for the two of us, would be roughly $800 :(
It would be absolutely awesome if they played Sakurajima ^_^

Just read on their homepage that Akko is in post-op recovery and will need a couple months of rest. So, if all goes well, they'll probably be able to play in September.

Does anyone know what actually happened to her? Did a bass string break and hit her eye or something?

Retinas can detach randomly. It doesn't really need an event to take place.

I mean that I didn't even know at all what was wrong with her eye.

Akko loves to swing her head around on stage. Sometimes I think that could've caused it. Just look at this video! She's wild!
