In addition to their upcoming single Yume kara samete/All of Everything, veteran rock band THE BOOM have also announced the release of a tribute album for July 22nd in order to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Titled THE BOOM 20th SPECIAL COVER ALBUM, the album will include twenty-two songs in total and among the artists participating are ayaka, MCU, GO!GO!7188, TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA, MINMI, Tamio Okuda, Oda Kazumasa and more.

Cool! I remember watching an interview with them where they listed their five favorite songs, and The Boom's "Shima Uta" was #1. I actually liked the song a lot, so I downloaded the MP3.

The rock meets enka flavor totally sounds like a major influence on them.
