Title: Favorite Tora no Ana 2 Song
Description: Well, we had one for 569
Primushead - June 8, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
Just to stir up some activity.
For me, it was close between "Kazari..." and "Attack No. 1" but "Kazari..." wins out.

Attack No. 1
By the way I ran another marathon hahaha!
Dana - June 8, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
well my top favourite songs are koi no kisetsu and spider,
but I picked spider cause I had it on repeat more often. B)
Yahiko - June 8, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
Kjetting - June 8, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
Hard to pick just one, but from my top3: Kazari Janai no yo Namida wa, Attack No. 1 and Spider
I voted Spider :)
Sadako - June 8, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
I vote for Attack No. 1!
Iiiii love it , but i like Kazari very much, too.
ripesan - June 12, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
Jerkface - June 13, 2008 04:56 AM (GMT)
Koi no Kisetsu (oh me and dana think alike -hm- ) but I love the opening riff of Gingiragin ni Sarigenaku, so I often listen to it.
Toptube - June 16, 2008 08:24 PM (GMT)
Koi no Kisetsu.
Yuu's vocals are rad in this song.
baboo - June 19, 2008 07:55 AM (GMT)
Does anyone realize that SPIDER is the double cover. Background music is "There she goes" and the melody is "Spider"?
I'd vote for Jenny wa Gokigen Naname which glorifies Takki's sexy drumming! -ui-

Whoa. Didn't notice that.
As mentioned, "Kazari..." is also a double cover with Detroit Rock City by KISS in the background.
Yahiko - June 19, 2008 06:15 PM (GMT)
o god its true! even the la la laaa part
Sadako - June 19, 2008 08:36 PM (GMT)
Woa! Yeah!
Never noticed!
But fantastic how GO!GO! matched the two songs :P
Yahiko - June 19, 2008 10:13 PM (GMT)
I think that's the way they discovered how to cover western songs without having to actually sing in english ;D
baboo - June 20, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
I think they start doing this "making reference" since 569 with two songs Nounai Traveler with a roughly 2-bar riff from some famous song, I think, arranged by Paul Mauriat in the chorus and Chain took sample from MI theme music in the opening.
I don't know if they have to ask for permission to do so but this is cool.
Their English is not bad at all in Takki's song....except that Right on is still sounds like Lighdon.
Dana - June 20, 2008 10:06 AM (GMT)
everytime happy
lonely time sadly
Yahiko - June 20, 2008 06:49 PM (GMT)
this made me download the full discography of sixpence none the richer damn
Dana - June 20, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
tell me if their other songs are good!
Yahiko - June 21, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
in fact, there she goes by SNTR is a cover also! Tower Records says GO!GO! covered the original ver by The La's.. but I think the Sixpence ver is much more alike the GO!GO! one ;)
baboo - June 21, 2008 01:40 AM (GMT)
I was exposed to SNTR version but I'd prefer The La's version better later then.
The opening riff deserves to be one of the best in music history so far. Rumour has it that the song is about morphine. -_____-
Anyway, GoGo's "Spider" kinda has a reverse effect on me because when I'd jump to Spider lyrics now whenever I hear the riff instead of the actualy lyric
By the way, SNTR has doen a lot of cover too. Too bad they disbanded
Yahiko - June 21, 2008 02:50 AM (GMT)
even ELO they covered!! nice band
Dana - June 21, 2008 08:01 AM (GMT)
I found an indepented music channel on TV a while ago. they played ELO.
I immediately knew this must be a good channel.
Yahiko - June 21, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
i was listening the radio on my work and it played Twilight :o :o :o
Primushead - June 22, 2008 06:29 AM (GMT)
Twilight is an amazing song.
jigenbakuda - June 26, 2008 02:25 AM (GMT)
I picked attack number 1 that song is full of win! Well I like jenny wa, but I can never fully like it because its not technopop.... I heard it in 2 different versions and both were technopop, so it sounds weird so slow and so non-happy, lol. But I still liked it. I really liked all the songs, but If I had to pick a winner it would be attack number 1.

Well you asked what versions I heard, I heard the perfume and the original. But I went and found some more. There are more versions than I thought...
Here is the original by the band Juicy fruits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKobvOaEmvMHere is a version by mari yaguchi (I guess from morning masume...)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG7XSvGbnjYHere is the 神咲まゆみ (all I can read is mayumi...) version of the song, it has a very interesting feel. Its still in the technopop feel though. But the bass is kick ass! They throw in some interesting time siggies too!
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm2782756I'm throwing this one in here just for fun! The idolm@ster x jenny wa
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3KlkxKjuMM&feature=relatedHere is the perfume version of the song (english subs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Nh9tDXyK60Here is the hi-posi version... which I never heard before...
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2543208Another juicy fruits version of the song (its very obvious that the perfume version is the most popular because of the comments on this video, lol
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2362295Here is a (apparently...) juicy fruit remix, version piko piko, lol
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm661778Here is the vocaloid miku hatsune singing jenny wa... man those guys are good with miku, huh?
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1672I know I've heard another version somewhere else... I just can't think who did it... but I like perfume's version better. Anyways I liked this little list I compiled. I hope some one actually watches all of them :)
Oh yea if you are not registered at nico nico douga (some of the videos I linked to were on nico) you can find detailed instructions here.

Krispy Kreme - July 8, 2008 01:44 AM (GMT)
With out a doubt ATTACK No.!!!!! That cut sounds like it's off the KILLBILL osts...
Starberry - July 8, 2008 08:32 AM (GMT)
i would have to say koi no kisetsu. i really like the longer, noisy solo... eh, well, i really like all of the songs, except for spider. i don't know, it just doesn't tickle me in any sort of way.

I don't like spider as much either... Before I listened to the cd I heard everyone rave about it, it was the first song I listened to on the cd. But it wasn't my style...
medusanyc - July 10, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
spider = very yes
but anyway. looking at the results of this poll pretty much mirrors my curve in itunes for which songs get played how many times.
all in all a very fun cd and still in rotation at the moment
Toptube - July 10, 2008 08:07 PM (GMT)
Mummy the Peepshow did a cover of it too =D
The live recordings on youtube aren't very good quality though, the audio levels are pretty bad. I can upload the mp3 again though if you or someone else wants it.
jigenbakuda - July 12, 2008 11:46 PM (GMT)
I would love to hear it. Seeing as I love that song. Well I heard of mummy and the peep show... are they on benten? I heard the name somewhere... So mp3 please :)
underwaterthing - January 20, 2009 02:03 AM (GMT)
Honestly, I don't know if my favorite is Nagisa no Sinbad or Jenny wa Gokigen Naname. I love them equally!
Kelly Renee - January 20, 2009 06:14 AM (GMT)
Nagisa no Sinbad, and Attack No. 1
Koi No Kisetsu rocks too.
semtex-inc - February 12, 2009 10:35 PM (GMT)
Tora no Ana 1 & 2 are my favourite albums right now. I presume everybody's got the Club Quattro gig, I can watch that over and over again.
Back ontopic: Kazari Janai and Attack no 1 top the album. I choose Kazari.
