Title: Accepted

Primushead - March 27, 2008 01:35 AM (GMT)
Today, I finally got my acceptance letter from SUNY Albany (it's a university in New York for all you international-folk).

I'd be a Japanese major and hopefully, I'll study abroad in Japan my senior year.

Congratulate me, fools.

And talk about your current and future plans.

Good deal!!!

I am a GEO dumb #$%...

Hey now I can visit you when run the New York Marathon!

Majoring in Japanese sounds like a plan. Do you want to move to Japan and teach?

I am a programmer gone wild... as in backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, running marathon... and I think I will get into road cycling... and I know that will get very expensive *_*

Hopefully.

And yeah, my outdoor activity of choice is biking. Of course, being in the Northeast means I have only five months to do that. But still.

o rly! Are you one of those people that has a $2000+ bike with the clip pedal and everything?

My plan is to continue working at my job and use my money to tour the world and visit every baseball stadium. First I will go back to japan again, then try and swing Korea/Vietnam/Taiwan/Philippines in one trip.

Thats all I got mapped out

rofl. No. Although, my bike was expensive (thankfully my grandparents bought it for me... it's sort of a tradition), I don't go all out.

Vermont has a pretty awesome bike path, so my friend and I ride that in the summer. But I don't have the clips or the tight biking suit or anything extra like that. I grab my water bottle and hit the road, and that's it.

Awesome. Good to see there's another baseball fan on the board.

I think last summer there was a guy that was visiting all minor and major league parks in the US, he came to one of the minor league games I was at. And I know other people have done it, but I don't think anyone has tried the whole world.

When I was in Japan, I was outside the Hiroshima Carp stadium, and I saw the Sapporo Dome in the distance on the bus (Go Fighters!) but I didn't get to go to a game.

When I hopefully live in Japan, I definitely want to make it a goal to see a game in every stadium. Should be easier than the US, seeing as there's only 12 teams.

You should get a Ham Fighter's hat. You'd think their mascot would be amazing, a giant ham with battleaxe's for arms. But its not that cool.

I am thinking of getting a bike... to do some cross training... ran and hike too much = weak thigh =(

Actually, it's just "Fighters." Nippon-Ham comes from the sponsor name. Yeah, I made that mistake too.

I have a Fighters shirt that I bought. It was the largest size they had, but it was still too small so I tacked it to my wall.

They will always be the Ham Fighters. Their mortal enemy is the montegomery biscuits.

Congrats Primushead. Getting accepted to a college is always a great thing. Have fun riding the Northeast :)

I've been in the Tokyo dome. Not for a concert though. It was for a big spring time super sale for all kinds of stuff. Lots of sporting goods.
