Title: My youtube frustrations....... :|
Kjetting - March 24, 2008 01:55 PM (GMT)
Just have some steam i must get out about youtube.....
I see ONCE again that Sennenoki's youtube account has been suspended.
and i know others too, like youngelectricpop's.
These are all GO!GO!7188 fans, playing covers.
I know there are recordlabels and organisations, scanning youtube for copyright violations, but for f**k sake, people loving their favorite band, and learning others to play their songs and love it. I mean, these people are more recruting people and promoting GO!GO!7188, rather than copyviolating and make them loose money??
I discovered GO!GO!7188 on youtube, and i am so happy i did, but this nazi copyright thing going on i dont understand.
I also sendt youtube mail, last time Sennenoki got deleted, but i never got answer.....
Btw i hate Sony, they are the worst in its business, and if im not mistaken, its gogo's new recordlabel too.
just my 73 cents.... :ph43r:

What? That's horrible...
I can understand that they suspend those posting TV-rips and songs etc., but suspending someone for posting covers is just wrong

I don't get why only those two accounts have been suspended.
If it was all about copyright, then there wouldn't be a single GO!GO! related video on Youtube.

I can't believe Sennenoki's account is gone. If uploading a cover is all it takes to get suspended then i'm doomed.. :( I feel so bad for them!
For some reason youtube likes to pick on Sennenoki.

Google, copyright body strike deal allowing cover songs on YouTube
Closet pop idols breathed a little easier Thursday after the announcement of a deal between video site YouTube and a large recording rights body, allowing punters to record and post their own versions of songs by major artists like Mr. Children and Spitz without fear of legal reprisal.
Japan Rights Clearance Inc. (JRC) announced that it had made a comprehensive contract with YouTube's parent Google over the use of about 5,000 recordings that JRC manages.
It is the first time that Google has struck a contract with a rights management company in Japan over the use of music.
Under the contract, Google will pay an undisclosed royalty to JRC on behalf of YouTube users. In turn, JRC will no longer ask Google to delete videos of users' cover versions of songs by JRC artists, except where they defame the artist.
However, users can still be accused of violating the Copyright Law if they post footage from music TV programs or music DVDs without permission, since those copyrights are also shared by broadcasters and record companies.
A similar deal between Japan's largest rights management body, the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) and video sites run by Yahoo! Japan Corp. and two other companies has been in place since July last year.
