Well, yes. But the ones on my desk were given to me as gifts from Japanese people.

There's this Japanese restaurant here that has a shelf of random Japanese snacks and food that you can buy. Haichu, Pocky, those awesome chocolate mushroom things and the koalas are all the snack foods on sale.

Although, the Haichu is some sort of strange American knock off. The front of the package reads "Hi-Chew" and instead of the individual pieces coming wrapped in tinfoil, they come wrapped in wax paper. They're a little bit different tasting too. Everything else is imported from Japan, though.

I just realized, I have an empty bag of Puccho on my desk, as well as two pieces of bubble gum with Ultraman on the wrapper that I still haven't had yet.

Maybe I'll take pictures of this cluttered mess later.

cool... I am done with mailing packages for a while since the 5 packages costed me around $100 (4 outside of USA)... -hm- Those people are eating very expensive pocky... haha.

We are the lucky one... well I am the lucky one since I live in LA -ui- Other people in this board never had japanese snacks before... or rarely... *_*

Oh, there's also two Asian food markets in the area. I've only been to one but I hear the other one is really awesome.

And who would have expected this in Vermont?

You used to have to go to Chinatown in Montreal or Boston to get it.

Well .. at first I put some of the boxes and bags in a desk drawer where I keep stuff from the past years for nostalgic reasons (my first sticker book, my school diary from England, letters etc).. but then I thought that for some people, those candies, chips, noodles etc are an every day thing, and who knows, maybe I will live near a japanese market too someday and will have that stuff more often?XD

I just had the instant noodle... and I want to offer a tip or two to you guys in case you don't know how to make it.

1. Don't overcook your noodle...

2. Don't mix the seasoning in your pot. Put the seasoning in your bowl, then add boiling water to it and mix it. If the taste is too strong, then add more water. I rather have a strong soup base than a plain one -ui-

green onion, seasame oil, and seasame seeds are your friends.

If you want to have more of a japanese ramen feel... make a half-cooked (yolk half cook) hard-boiled egg , cut it in half and put in on the noodle.
