http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUFpxulU8rgAt the time I didn't know about the 'secrets' but I self taught myself and used most of the techniques from video #1. Out of all these prizes below, I think I never really pick them up, I usually 'push' them to the hole -ui-

I remember seeing the ones with DS Lites in them and stuff.
I remember thinking "THIS LOOKS SO EASY!"
I remember putting in my money.
I remember finding out that you only get once chance to line it up.
I remember failing hardcore.

I saw those expensive prizes too... I just didn't even bother to try. I actually got more prizes from japan but I didn't take pictures of them.
I am telling you, the USA claw machine sucks... but I am still a sucker... putting money in there from time to time... to remind myself the good times I have in jaapn <_<

Yeah. I think I only played them twice. The attempt above, and I think I thought that I could easily get a ball or something. But I didn't.
I think my experience from using the American ones carried over in Japan and I realized that I was never going to win... especially because when I played some of the arcade games, they seemed to be in ultra-hardcore-expert mode and I'd fail more... (I played Guilty Gear against the computer and I didn't even hit it once)... and I'd rather have the Yen to buy soda or something.

Whatever works for you. When I was in japan I spent my money on claw machine, arcade (they have the new drummania/guitar freaks!!!), and food...

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I played some arcade games (I ruled everyone when we played the Mario Kart arcade game). And I even went to one of the coolest arcades ever called
Varios in Sapporo with my host family. But a bunch of my friends were spending lots of money in arcades, and I'd rather have some to buy some other stuff too.
