Evil Zone is a fighting game for the PS1. It's still my favorite fighting game ever. You can keep your Dead or Alive, Super Smash Bros, Tekken, Soul Caliber etc. Despite being nine years old, I will always take Evil Zone over any other fighting game.

Unlike most fighting games, the story is incredibly in-depth and unlike some other games... *cough cough* Tekken *cough cough* it actually makes sense. All of the characters in the game are more or less parodies of the stereotypical Anime genres. You have your Ultraman hero from the future, you have your mystical school girl, you have your wizard etc. Another awesome thing is that when you do story mode, it plays out like an Anime, in between matches there's a "Coming up next time on..." type thing where the character introduces the show and each match is an "Episode."

Also, the control system is one of the oddest I've seen. There's only two buttons you can use. Square for block and Triangle for attack. You combine the D-Pad with Triangle to do different attacks. It prevents people from button mashing and winning easily like in some games *cough cough* Soul Caliber *cough cough*. You have to know what you are doing to win.

The soundtrack is one of the best I've heard too.

I think I wrote too much >_<

I played the Wii-Version, too.
But I wanted to try the game mirror-inverted :P
And Link should be left handed, if not it is no real legend of zelda -hm-

Totally.

All my friends play Super Smash Bros for GameCube a ridiculous amount. I don't own the game. So, whenever we play multiplayer, I pretty much have no chance to win. The only character I can even get a kill with is Jigglypuff. >_<

Last weekend, I had some of these friends over. It was my turn for revenge. I popped in Evil Zone.

I slaughtered everyone. During one round, one of my friends didn't even damage me.

It was fun. :)

And to stay on-topic... I bought Viewtiful Joe for the DS used for $8... fun game.

Toptube - February 17, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)

I am currently replaying System Shock 2 :)
Timeslip is awesome for making it playable on newer graphics cards.

ssasami - April 8, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
I've been playing world of Warcraft whenever I'm on my own, but when my posse comes over we hook up 4 xbox360's and play call of duty 4. I have 4 computer monitors lined up next to each other on a counter in my basement. We are the H!P clan if you ever play. In wow I play a girl gnome warlock and a girl gnome warrior named Konno and Ayaya. We are the Hello Project guild on Shadowsong. Hehe.

I have so many other games, but its tough to play anything else when yer playing wow. Its like crack.

Primushead - April 12, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Just bought Trauma Center for the DS.

jigenbakuda - April 16, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
I am playing ff4 (ff4 is so much harder in japanese, lol not knowing where you are supposed to go is a pain, but it is a harder version of the game so it is fun.) and tales of innocence for ds. I also play guilty gear xx acent core in between, for the wii. I am a nintendo fanboy...

Dana - April 16, 2008 08:30 AM (GMT)
who isn't a nintendo fanboy/girl? XD

It's really a tough decision what console or games to buy when you are a multi-platform gamer.. I grew up with Nintendo (my mum used to have a NES, my brother later bought a SNES, and I had a Gameboy) and Sega, but later I became a huge Playstation fan.
Now my mum gave me her Gamecube cause she doesn't like console games anymore (she is more into computer games now), and I need new games cause I don't want to play Windwaker and Harvest Moon over and over ...

Last time I visited Sadako I wanted to have a Nintendo DS so bad, so a few weeks later I got one. Now that this need is satisfied, I want to buy a Wii. *arrrgh*
Nintendo is so awesome. ;__;

Also, I need the Ps3 when Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out. And a better TV too.
;___; Why does this hobby have to be so expensive?XD

jigenbakuda - April 16, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
Who isn't a nintendo fanboy? everyone I have met since about high school. I am a long time gamer.. since like 89 or something. I always loved nintendo and was its sole defender in my parts. I have argued the merits of nintendo for about 5 or 6 years. Most did not like nintendo, because they heard someone call it kiddy. Oh man I have many responses for common reasons of nintendo hate.

Your mom plays video games? I wish it were mine. I would play with her all day.

Dana - April 17, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
ohh, that sucks. well, I don't know many people here in Germany who play videogames too.. actually, I know only two and they love Nintendo. My other friends are all boring, lol.

when my mum still played console games she even beat final fantasy 8 which I never managed to do...
Also, she played a few resident evils and silent hills for me (I just watched), but I always did the end bosses. Ha.. XD

I am so jealous of you it is not funny... I WISH my mom would of played resident evil 2 with me (my favorite in the series). Oh well at least I have my brother... oh yea he's at college :(

Primushead - April 17, 2008 04:03 AM (GMT)
My mom plays video games too. She usually only plays platformer games.

She's beaten every Zelda on the N64 and GameCube, though. Much better than I can do. I suck at Zelda.

I think I am starting to hate you guys... Man I love zelda games, I have every console zelda game except the very first one. I love zelda the music is awesome, next zelda game better have go go in it, lol. I would consider myself good at zelda. I beat the ocarina of time in 5 days... Which 64 zelda did she play TooT or majora's mask? I love both.

Primushead - April 18, 2008 04:41 AM (GMT)
Both.

And WindWaker.

And the new one that game out.

Dana - April 18, 2008 05:25 AM (GMT)
my mum got windwaker when she bought her gamecube. but she couldn't beat it, it became boring to her after a while. hahah.. i love windwaker, the character design is so cute and it's fun to play. and there's so much to do!
since we didnt have a N64 we only played the gameboy, nes and snes zelda games.
I also test-played Twilight Princess... anyone else annoyed by Midna???XD

I was not annoyed by smendy ( as I called her) But when she is returned to her original form. She is one hot alien thing...Smendy was less annoying than that blasted navi, from TooT ("hey, listen!" STFU you little fairy!!!!!!!)

The best zelda so far to me is link to the past on super... nothing has beat that so far..,

Sadako - April 18, 2008 05:59 PM (GMT)
I wish my mum would play video games, too!
She's allways playing Tetris or "Bubbles" (a silly copy of Puzzle Bobble and Bust A Move). I remember my sister asked her to play Secret of Mana on SNES with her, that was really funny XD

"Press Y! Y! Y!!!!!!... *sigh*"

I love Windwaker, too. I don't get why most people don't like it, because of the graphic stlye. Well, it's a bit strange to play a little ToonLink instead of the hot, sexy, good looking adult Link of OOT... but I love the fights and the sidequest (especially the Minitendo Gallery!).

I think I like Navy more than Midna. I was sad seeing both endings of the games, but Navi is more friendly than Midnai think, because she is telling me how to beat the enemies, lol.

Totally forgot navi, actually helped you in fights, lol. But still she would not shut the F*CK up. Smendy just laughed at you and watched you struggle, even though she could of beat the game by herself...

secret of mana.. that was a good one, never owned it, but I had a rom of it. Great music, great game, never beat it though...

TooT was a great game, I really love the side quests too, never finished it 100% though. Well if you liked sexy bronze TooT link, I like the sexy zelda from Twilight Princess.

lol, my girlfriend only plays puyo puyo, she is a weirdo, lol.

aabbqrstp - April 22, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
