About 2 weeks ago, a famous and important newspaper here called "Folha de São Paulo" ( LOL writing the text in english makes me laugh at the word 'folha' -sheet- o_O ) announced that in May, Namie Amuro will come to Brazil to have a mini-concert for 2 days at Ibirapuera ( a park in São Paulo ) to commemorate the 100th year of Japanese immigration on Brazil ( did you know that Brazil has the largest japanese community after Japan ? :o ). So all the year we will have some concerts or something like that... what made me surprised is that we usually just get stuff like JAM Project, Wada Kouji, Ayumi Miyazaki, well... anime retired ( LOL ) singers,.. but this time it's an avex artist! o_O Well.. some rumors say that the concert will be for free cause it will be part of a festival. I don't like her, but i'm going anyways :rolleyes: I'll try to get an autograph with her and sell it on ebay for a lot of money ;DDDDD.. does anyone here like her?

I love Namie, at least since she switched to her queen of hip pop ways. I own her last 2 albums.

I never liked her when she was singing xuxa like Body Feels Exit, and other stereotypical pop xuxa. But she is awesome ever since she was in suite chic, and then made Style, The Queen of Hip-pop and Play.

Also she is easy on the eyes. :)

The only Namie Amuro song I know is a collaboration with rapper VERBAL, I think it's called "Lovin' it" .. recorded for a charity album after 9/11

Well, I would say you should check her out, but really, being a gogo fan is not a natural fit for namie. If you are into old school hip hop and R&B, you might like her. I have always loved american hip hop until probably like 7 years ago, when it turned to shix. The demise of rap in america is part of what made me turn to Japan for my musical needs, hehe. All i had were a couple of rock groups I liked and techno music.

we dont know .. everything i know is that there will be concerts like that for all the year but the only artists confirmeds so far are Project JAM and Namie Amuro ;\
