Yes the reason why I went to japan is because of the concert. I wanted to go to two concerts. Yokohama and Shibuya but my friend can only get ticket on Shibuya.

How I discovered Go!Go!7188 - Was listening to a live365 station called 'Radio Fighto' and they had 2 songs from Yuu's solo album in rotation (Mitsugetsu and Shyumatsu) which I liked so I researched her and found out she was in Go!Go!7188 and managed to find one mp3 of their music (Umashika mono) then that was it for about 2 years until I found out that they were going to play in Bethlehem this last August. I like Japanese music and go see just about any Japanese band that comes to play within driving distance (which basically means NYC to Philadelphia and anything in between) so I went to see them play for free and thoroughly enjoyed it and got their latest album, and have since collected more. It was great privelege to see them up close and personal.

In a way I am glad that Japanese music is not overly popular here, because at live shows the people who really like it show up and you get to meet the band personally. I gave a bag full of paper cranes to MONO when they were on their 'Walking Cloud...' tour and I think they really appreciated it.

I hope that one day Shiina Ringo tours the US, because I doubt I will have a chance to travel to Japan to see her play there. It would be a great privelege to tell her how much her music means to me.
