Title: Flight School Plans

George Silberzahn, CDC ??? - November 13, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
:o At first I didn't have a goal for how many people might benefit from FS just an idea some might. Then I found there really were some who could raise the level of their game and became excited at what I'd discovered.
 There are now 144 dart players/shooters who have received the self analysis and basics parts of FS. I'm happy with that many interested people.
There are 66 dart players/shooters who are active, to some degree, and I hear from them on occasion with good "stuff" as well as questions.
I'm pleased I've helped as many as I have and now that I've heard back from some enrollees about the benefit they've gotten from FS I am ready to set a goal for the next twelve months.
 First goal: find out what the 78 players/shooters not active think about FS.
 Second goal: Increase the number of active FS enrollees to 200 by July 2008 through referrals by current enrollees and getting the word out that FS is real, and does help.
<_< Obstacles for me to overcome.
Learn how to get the word out about FS and what it can do.
Learn how to gauge success of the program.
Learn how to recruit people as promoters of what FS can do for the sport as a whole, and the individual.
( volunteers will be enthusiastically received)

George,

You should put a link to your website in your profile here. It would help people find your site and flight school biggrin

 Here's something about Flight School and how it works.
Do you win as often as you want to?
Do you practice?
Do you get frustrated or angry when you practice?
Are you practicing a flaw you don't know you have?
There are many dart players who put in time at what they think is practice but what they are doing is not helping them get better at the game. Flight School is a practice/learning program from which many dart players are learning how to get better at the game. Success stories are plentiful. It operates on the following principles:

First thing: There is no right way in darts and there is no wrong way in darts - only the way the player/shooter does it - but there are general guides to help a person perfect how they do it.

* A person can't be taught how to "shoot" a dart. It's a learned thing that a person does for themselves.

* A dart "shooter" will know a dart is not going right just as it leaves their hand: it doesn't "feel" right.

* A person can learn to recognize "it's not right" through perfecting their way of "shooting" a dart.

Perfecting an individual's game must be done by the individual but a tutorial help can make the effort easier.

The goal of Flight School is to help people get more enjoyment from playing the game of darts.

Flight School will guide enrollees through a process of clarifying the problems they have then identifying the difficulties which may cause their problems and finally selecting drills and techniques which will help eliminate or reduce the distraction of their difficulties, within the time commitment of the enrollee's choice.

Program description:
There are two parts to the program:

Part 1) An "Introduction" a "Practice Perspective" and an "Explanation of basics common to all." Then "Difficulty Clarification" and "Difficulty Specification."

Part 2) A regimen of drills and techniques tailored to the difficulties specified by the enrollee which match the commitment the enrollee wants to make. And dialog between enrollee and monitor, supported by George Silberzahn, to assist in individual questions and quandries.

There are reading recommendations and a course text book: "How To Master The Sport Of Darts" but neither is required.
This tutorial is presented by the author of "How To Master The Sport Of Darts" and may be administered through a darts organization, league, or individual teams. The role of monitor, other than George Silberzahn, will be done on an ongoing basis by someone familiar with the principles, drills & techniques employed by Flight School but always supported by George Silberzahn.

Flight School is administered on-line through email. Drills and Techniques will be emailed in pdf format.

To enroll, or ask for more information, email George Silberzahn at challengegeo@comcast.net.
