I've been attending a few soft tip LODs and such and it looks as though there may be way more "young bloods" around those events. One thing that stands out is the bells and whistles that go along with electronic machines. I see the participants punching keys and setting up the games, then checking ppd between games and just the overall flash and bang which is so not bristle board play. It's like the electronic stuff is right up the alley of the ipod, xbox, iphone bunch and I can see where bristle board play would appear dull to someone used to the buzz and tones of electronic play.
One thing I deal with everyday. I'm getting out of touch with a lot of things in life, which is normal I suppose, but I'm trying not to become smug in those things I think are "the way it should be." Like tats, piercing, clothes style, music, instant communication (which appears to be constant) and general life style. So I'm wondering if my belief in steel tip bristle darts (non electronic) might be due some introspection. The attitude among many bristle players just might the "Old foggie" kind stuff that lets a person (and dart nut) become obsolete. Is the future of non electronic darts limited without an attitude adjustment?
