With the year upon us and league reg. and renewals coming up why not add a place on the team reg. forms for player e-mail addresses. E-mailing standings, event info and/or other announcements could be very helpful. Think back a few weeks when weather was a concern for several of us, how helpful it would have been for the office to simply click "check all" and send an email alert to postpone the week. Granted not every CDC member has a computer or access to one but, I'm thinking that the ones that do would appreciate the weekly info and updates, and if they dont then they wouldn't need to give out their e-mail info at time of reg. or like most web sites they could opt-out of future mailings by contacting the CDC office. I'm not very computer technical but it doesn't seem like a very difficult thing to set-up. Just an Idea.

I couldn't agree more. I think the % of members with computer access has risen considerably over the last few years, so we may be at the point where the internet and emails will become the Club's primary mode of communication.

There's already talk of limiting mailings of standings sheets to just the bars. Weekly emails can be sent to each member with a link to our standings on our web page. And your suggestion for using emails to communicate weather-related postponements makes sense also.

I'll take this one up at our next Planning Committee Meeting, which incidentally is held on the third Saturday of each month at the CDC Office, beginning at 9am. These meetings are open to all members.
