I don't even know how I would answer.
Let's see, how about dinner for 6 people.
Buster Keaton
Marilyn Monroe
Jesus
"Saint" Germaine- The one who was supposed to be immortal
Barbarossa
Lady Jane Grey

Maybe I could squeeze in Nefertiti or Tut for dessert!

I agree with most of your list - I don't necessarily disagree with the rest, I just haven't heard of all those people, so I can't say!

Does this have to be people we like? Can we add people we don't like (which sounds odd, but I have my reasons)?

I would have to give this more consideration, but off the top of my head...

I definitely would add the Apostles John, Peter, and Paul to the list, Adam and Eve (from Genesis), maybe David (from the Old Testament) and Moses.

Possibly Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Winston Churchill, Roy Orbison.

That's more than 6 (including some of the people on your list), hope that's okay smile.gif

hmmm, that's a good question, are there six people I'd want in my house for dinner????

Jesus, so I could ask questions about why the world is the way it is, and how to stop the diseases that threaten to kill worldwide. If I couldn't get answers, no thanks....

my Aunt Marlene. She's the most wonderful, loving, and giving person I ever knew, aside from my husband. I'd love to see her one more time.

Robert Palmer. I loved his music, and miss him badly. Would just love to meet him and thank him for his part in musical history.

Jam Master J from Run DMC. See above explaination.

my nephew Christopher, who was killed by a couple of dogs many years ago when he was 10. My brother was an irresponsible jerk for never taking care of him, so he ended up going to a foster home. These idiots had two Rottweilers and a German Shepherd in their home, why they would ever be allowed to have dogs trained to kill around a child, I"ll never know. I want my nephew to know that I always loved him, even when I didn't get to see him.

I really can't think of any other people I'd want to see, unless Duran Duran would come to my house (Andy would have to leave his cigs at the door though).

My grandfather and Richard, my mom's old flame.

My grandfather has been gone for over a dozen years now and Richard died on an operating table many years ago. His mother had forced him to take the operation and he was too tired and sickly to fight her will, even though he knew it was a bad idea and told my Aunt Cynthia so.

Mom loved Richard before she met my stepfather, and Richard was the only man who loved me like his own daughter. He's the man that should've been my dad. Unfortunately, his bitchy mother didn't approve of the prospect of him having a relationship with a divorced mother of two (even though she adored me when I was little and didn't have the slightest clue I was born out of wedlock).

I was very close to both Richard and my grandfather (although my grandpa was hardly the mushy type), and I miss them both terribly still and, in both cases, I never got the chance to say goodbye. I'd love to see them both one more time.

After that? Um, I don't know really. I'll have to think about that some more.

I htink that was his name. There's a story about a Germaine who was supposedly documented as being seen over a long period of time, and he never aged and never seemed to be able to explain his lavish lifestyle.
6 is too few for dinner!

I saw a movie based upon the book Dinner With A Perfect Stranger.

The DVD is being sold here, at amazon.com.

They call the DVD, "The Perfect Stranger," but it's still based upon the book, and most of it does take place in a restaurant, over dinner.
