I edited the subject heading of Lady C's post just to clarify that this thread is where we can place quizzes about fun stuff, or trivia quizzes. Here's one that someone sent me in e-mail (I've not taken it yet myself, I've only skimmed over the questions): The Christmas Gullibility Test - from The Museum of Hoaxes site Okay, I just took their quiz (I had to out and out guess on a small number of them), and my score was... "Ho Ho Ho! You got eight out of twelve correct." I still think that writing "Christmas" as "Xmas" is disrespectful - depending on who is doing so and why. I've read on some web pages over the years rants by grumpy atheists who've said they intentionally remove the "Christ" from Christmas either because they don't like Christ/Christanity, and/or because they are intentionally trying to hack off Christians. Anyway, I didn't do too badly on their quiz. Christmas Gullibility Test Answer Page

Can you pass the US Citizenship quiz?My score: Do you have what it takes to become a citizen?
You answered 95% of questions correctly.
Here's your rating:
.... 85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.) I missed #9, I got one state wrong. Drat.

Matt's Star Wars Personality TestI scored as.. " You are EMPEROR PALPATINE!." They have to be kidding me! He's the most evil character in the Star Wars stories. I love puppies and kitties and took in a stray cat for pete's sake! Do I really sound like a Sith???? Star Wars Personality TestMy score: Yoda You scored 37% airiness, 31% squishiness, and 73% edginess!
According to our patented JawamaticTM technology, you are most like Yoda in personality.
A traditionalist at heart, Yoda has honed his intuition through hundreds of years of meditation and study. But don't let that fool you -- he believes the old ways are the best ways. To him, the known is preferable to the unknown.
Yoda is, in a word, reliable.
(The polar opposite of Yoda is Luke Skywalker.) The eight profiles are as follows: * Han Solo * Yoda * Chewbacca * Threepio * Artoo * Darth Vader * Luke Skywalker * Princess Leia

The first test:
| QUOTE | | You are LUKE SKYWALKER! |
The second test:
| QUOTE | Luke Skywalker You scored 75% airiness, 78% squishiness, and 36% edginess!
According to our patented JawamaticTM technology, you are most like Luke Skywalker in personality.
Luke is a dreamer and a romantic. He's excited by possibilities and has strong core values that affect all his decisions. Luke is loyal and idealistic, always coming through for those he loves.
Luke is, in a word, heroic.
(The polar opposite of Luke Skywalker is Yoda.) |
Well, at least I'm consistent.

Yes, you sure are! In a way, I am too. Notice in my results that I'm a senior citizen in both: Palpatine is like 75 years old and Yoda is like 800. The only way I can see that I scored as Palpatine is that for one question that asked if I'm a people person (or whatever), I said "no." I'm not a social butterfly at all, but I didn't realize that could be construed as evil! On the test where I scored as Yoda, I think their description of C3-PO fit me better. Not that Yoda was totally off mark, though. Threepio
According to our patented JawamaticTM technology, you are most like See-Threepio (C-3P0) in personality.
Threepio, being a protocol droid, favours traditional values. Programmed for etiquette and protocol, he is always concerned with doing what is proper and expected, caring for people's material needs above all else. He is methodical, value-driven and practical at his best.
Threepio is, in a word, diligent. I just found more Star Wars personality tests (I haven't taken these yet): #3- Which Star Wars Character Are You? Quiz#4- Liquid Generation: The Ultimate Star Wars Personality TestEDITI just took Test #3, and here was my score: You are Obi-Wan Kenobi
You are civilized, calm, and have a good sense of humor, even when those around you don't. You can hold your own in a fight, but prefer it when things don't get too exciting. I also had stuff in common with the following: Obi-Wan Kenobi 69% Qui-Gon Jinn 65% Princess Leia 63% Mace Windu 63% Padme 57% Chewbacca 56% Lando Calrissian 56% R2-D2 56% C-3PO 55% Yoda 55% (This list displays the top 10 results out of a possible 21 characters.) I'm trying to take Quiz #4, but that page is taking all day to download! If you're on DSL or cable, it may load quickly for you, but on dial-up this thing is taking forever! EDIT. Finally it downloaded. It may not seem like it at first, but I think this was written by a Star Trek fan. My result was R2-D2.

Results from quiz #3:
| QUOTE | You are Luke Skywalker
You value your friends and loved ones, but can sometimes act recklessly because of your emotions. Occasionally you resort to whining. You look ahead to great things for yourself.
Luke Skywalker 72% Princess Leia 70% R2-D2 70% Padme 66% Obi-Wan Kenobi 65% Yoda 62% An Ewok 62% C-3PO 58% Han Solo 58% Boba Fett 57% |
Very consistent of me. I got R2-D2 for the Liquid Generation quiz though.

I wonder how you got Boba Fett?? (That makes as much sense to me as me getting Emperor Palpatine in the first quiz)

I also got Kelly Clarkson. This might be fun (I haven't taken it myself - too tired right now). It's hosted at the same site as the "who is your inner rock star" Which Hollywood Blonde Are You?

Here's another one from the Tickle website: The ESP Test: What's Your Psychic Strength? My results: Melissa, when it comes to psychic abilities, you have an unusually strong talent in the area of Remote Viewing
This means you have an uncanny ability to travel great distances with your mind, to virtually any location, and actually get a true glimpse at what is located there. The best conditions for traveling space with your mind, or remotely viewing another location, are silence and a calm state of mind. Even without these conditions, you managed to show considerable talent in this area, which is called remote viewing. This skill is phenomenally valuable and has been used by institutions such as the government to help in covert operations designed to retrieve information about the whereabouts of a criminal or to learn about the operations of another country. But mostly this can help in practical, everyday ways, such as instinctively grabbing an umbrella before making a trip to the next town over even though you had no way of knowing that it was raining there.

The discussion board is incredibly slow this evening. Anyway, I came across this: Which vampire from the Vampire Chronicles By Anne Rice are you?I don't know much about Anne Rice's books or about Vampires. I did see part of "Interview with a Vampire." My result was... Lestat de Lioncourte
You are Lestat de Lioncourte. Lestat is ambitious, rebellious, and adventurous, and been through many ordeals.
Created in 1784 in Paris, France by an insane sorcerer, Lestat was never given a chance or a choice to immortality.
Although he is relatively young, he is extremely powerful, and experienced both Heaven and Hell, and returned to earth for ever changed, and a bit of a raving lunatic.
He is both beautiful and strong, but incorrigible.
His nicknames include: The Brat Prince, the Perfect Monster, and A Damnable Creature. Adieu, mon amour! Hmm. I wouldn't describe myself as "ambitious, rebellious, and adventurous." I thought I'd come out as "Mopey, apathetic, depressed vampire guy," but no. Pic that came with results:

This was my result: You are Marius. Marius is a Child of the Millennia, or one of the few vampires who make it through more than a thousand years, and actually, Marius is over 2500 years old, having seen centuries of war, religion, plague, and disaster, and is somewhat disillusioned by it. He claims to have no religion, and was once a grand painter in Venice, before his happiness was destroyed by a Satanist Roman coven. Marius' sorrows are many, but he tries to find peace in a chaotic modern world. He is essentially the governor of Those Who Must Be Kept until they are both eventually destroyed. Mon Amour, Marius, such pain! Figures I'd be the "mopey, apathetic, depressed vampire guy". Oh, well. At least Marius isn't quite as mopey or depressed as the eternally suicidal Louis. BTW, I saw most of both Interview... and Queen Of The Damned. I also have the Queen... and The Vampire Armand books, although I've only read Queen... thus far.
