Meet Roxana Pucey. Resident Queen of Slytherin House. She's probably one of the most evil, vindictive girls that you'll have ever met in your life. She's known as the fire queen. She isn't much of an ice princess, but her dark hair and eyes are just one clue as to the dark nature of Miss Roxana Pucey. She's the type of girl that you would cringe having to fight with, because this girl fights dirty. She's the front-runner of Slytherin girls; their leader, if you will. I mean really, with the Pucey family being one of the purest in the Wizarding World to date, would you expect anything different from Roxana Pucey, the oldest Pucey and heir to the fortune of a lifetime? That's what I thought. Not only is she vivacious and psychotically vindictive girl you'll meet, but she has the boys of Slytherin (and other houses) wrapped around her finger with her quick-wit and charm. Namely her boyfriend, --- Nott, and his best friend, --- Yaxley.
--- Nott was a ladies man himself, but he and Roxana Pucey had ruled Slytherin (not to mention most of the school) since they were fifteen years old. When they were told that they were a part of an arranged marriage, the two decided that it was best if they could actually become the power-couple their parents had wanted them to be. Of course, this wasn't exactly a match made in heaven. More like a match forged in the depths of hell. Either way, they were perfectly happy with eachother, evil hand, in evil hand. They spent the last two years ruling Slytherin House. And though of course, they were never faithful to eachother, they had a good arrangement going with eachother. Nott could fuck whoever the hell he wanted, and Pucey could, in turn, do the same. But they were together. You would think this arrangement would get confusing, or someone would get jealous. Nope, never. They were perfectly content with the way things were.
--- Yaxley, however, loathed them for it. Yaxley was Nott's right hand man. His best friend. They'd been best friends since first year, when Roxana introduced them. She somehow got to know everyone rather quickly, and Yaxley was taken with her since the moment his black eyes found her green ones. She was perfect in every way, shape and form. His perfect girl. And he didn't find her to be as evil as everyone else did either. So you can imagine why the arrangement between them was so horrible in Yaxley's eyes. Nott had no respect, no appriciation for Roxana at all. He treated her as a friend, and as a plaything, nothing more. If he had her, Yaxley would treasure every moment, he would respect her like she was meant to be respected. He would love her better than anyone else could. But of course, he couldn't. He couldn't even begin to try. She was his best friends' girl. And he was going to have to keep his place. So he moved on. Found a girl.
Courtney Krum was pretty much the opposite of Roxana, however similiar they looked to eachother in certain ways, it was impossible to find any other similiarities between the two. Krum was a social butterfly, sweet, social, talkative, and beautiful. Yaxley, for some reason, was drawn to her for the simple fact that unlike Roxana, the supposed love of his life, she had an actual smile. Not a smirk, not a sneer, an actual, honest to goodness smile. She was kind, she was funny, she was everything that Roxana was not. So of course she jumped at the chance to date Yaxley. Because honestly, he wasn't a horrible fellow, and Roxana Pucey was so used to him being her lapdog. Courtney hated Roxana with a passion, you see, so anything she could do to get back at the girl for her cruel ways was a good idea in Courtney's book. And as time wears on, Yaxley finds himself becoming more and more fond of the girl he called girlfriend, if only to spite Roxana for being so heartless and uncaring. She had been to make Roxana jealous, hoping that Roxana would finally notice him, but he was beginning to wonder what it would have been like if he had never wanted Roxana, and if he had been with Courtney all along.
But Yaxley isn't the only one who fancies Roxana from afar. Oh by no means, Yaxley is a lot closer than --- Bagman. Its surprising that a boy like Bagman, smart, fun, and kind would have such feelings for Roxana. I suppose it was the Potions Class that Yaxley was absent for that James was paired with Roxana that did it. She was different when she was working in Potions. The Professor favored her for a reason. She was bright, funny, and brilliant when it came to potions, almost like she was a completely different person. Bagman fell for her instantly. But --- Bagman and Roxana Pucey? Not only was --- Bagman a halfblood, --- Bagman was a Hufflepuff, and best friends with Pucey's sister ---, who Roxana depised. The sisters stopped getting along the moment the youngest Pucey wasn't sorted into Slytherin with her sister. The moment she started befriending mudbloods and bloodtraitors like Bagman. Roxana Pucey and --- Bagman, that would never, ever happen. So he watched from afar. He watched while his best friend Pucey [2] watched him.
Yes, Pucey [2] loved Bagman. That much was common knowledge. Even Bagman had an slight idea in his mind that his best friend had feelings for him. But he saw her as more of a sisterly figure than anything else. So she did her best to just bury her feelings and go on with life. I mean, what else could she do. She was hopelessly hung up on him while he was hopelessly hung up on her older sister. It wasn't like Pucey [2] couldn't get any other guy. I mean, she was gorgeous, and she was kind, she was really quite popular, and good friends with most of the other girls in her year and her house. And when Pucey [2] finds out that her sister and Bagman are paired for this upcoming Potions project they've got coming up, she's more than upset. She's become distant, she's become angry, and even Bagman doesn't know what to do about her. He hated hurting his best friend, but being paired with his dream girl in the only class she acted at least somewhat like a caring human being? He couldn't give that chance up, there was no way. Needless to say that Pucey was less-than-thrilled about learning that she'd have to work with the halfblood Hufflepuff that her sister called a friend.
SCENE ONE."--- Bagman?" he said with a smirk.
"You heard me, dumbass," she said angrily.
"That Hufflepuff that always insists on making it the hardest possible thing to just get the damn Quidditch cup every fucking year?" he said, raising an eyebrow. He looked quite amused at how upset she was for being paired with him.
"Yes, fuck. Nott get it through your thick skull, thats where I'm going. To meet --- Bagman in the library," she gave him her death glare as she spoke.
END SCENE.
Nott had no reason to be worried. She belonged to him, for the most part, and besides. He didn't really have any emotional feelings for the girl anyways. She could work with whoever the hell she wanted on this project, it was of no consequence to him. Either way, they would be getting married. It was going to be the perfect, respectable pureblood union their parents intended it to be. But he was quite amused at how riled up she got about it really. Almost as if it had gotten under her skin. But he didn't really put a second thought to it, not really. He went on with life as it should be, screwing those girls he found innocent or slutty enough to claim, all the while coming back to Roxana Pucey at night. Or most nights, at least. --- Nott was indifferent, and it angered Yaxley to the extent that he couldn't really bear it anymore. But he had to watch and bear it while Nott stayed indifferent, and while Roxana found herself curiously intrigued by the Bagman boy as time wore on.
SCENE TWO."Lets just bloody get to work," she said, obviously still miffed that she had to work with the likes of --- Bagman.
"Right, what do you have in mind for this then?" he said, always a gentleman, even in the way he spoke to her. No one ever spoke to her like that before.
"I've done some research on several different topics," she said seriously. "And I've found that I think it could be interesting if we did something more...advanced," she said hesitantly, looking him up and down.
"More advanced than we do in an advanced potions class?" he asked raising a curiously amused eyebrow.
"Much more advanced," she said seriously. "Are you up for the challenge?"
"The question, Miss Pucey," he said softly, his voice so low it was almost husky. "Are you?" he smirked.
Before she knew it, --- Bagman was two inches from her face, and within another second, his lips crashed to hers.
END SCENE.
And thus began not only the makings of a very advanced potions project, but the start of a very interesting and surprising relationship. Though Roxana Pucey could do whatever she wanted with whoever she wanted with no consequences from her fiance, the truth was, she wasn't so sure that Nott would be alright with her fooling around with a halfblood bloodtraitor, and would probably never want to touch her again. So she kept him a secret. Met with him in empty classrooms, broomclosets, the Room of Requirement (which few students actually knew about), hell sometimes even bathrooms they knew would be closed or were already empty. Nott hardly noticed that his girlfriend was working on the potions project more and more often and for longer periods of time. Yaxley...he noticed, but tried his best to keep his own feelings underwraps. Besides, he had a girlfriend who happened to be crazy about him, and who was bloody amazing. Pucey [2] noticed, oh did she notice. She didn't know why he was gone so often, because he made up different excuses, but she noticed that he'd been around less and less, and with her attitude shaping up the way it was, she was blaming herself. Until, of course, she finds out the real reason he's been gone so much.
SCENE THREE.She didn't know what hurt worse, the fact that her best friend had been lying to her, or the fact that the boy she was so hopelessly hung up on was snogging her sister in empty classrooms. Oh yes, she'd been the first to happen upon the heavily hormonal and scantily clad couple in the empty classroom on the third floor. She was looking for Bagman, who had said he was going to be in the library that day. When he wasn't, she went looking. She searched the floor above the one that held the library, and then the one below. She'd heard giggling coming from an empty classroom and had been too curious for her own good.
That was when she walked in on her sister, very half naked, only wearing a bra and her uniform skirt, and her best friend, disheveled as always, though with a bit of lipstick here and there, and his shirt unbuttoned. She froze. She froze and she ran off, before they could even really comprehend that she'd been there. They'd barely noticed, actually. And it was in the Astronomy Tower that Courtney Krum, her fellow Hufflepuff, weeping as she looked out at the grounds of Hogwarts.
"Whats up --- [2]? Are you alright?" she asked wearily, sitting down by the blonde girl. Sobs were released as she looked up, barely able to do anymore than a few words and shake her head.
"Bagman-sob-my-sob-sistersob-" was all she could muster.
"--- and your sister what, honey?" she asked, petting the girl's hair.
Pucey [2] took a deep breath and looked at her.
"He was -hiccup- snogging -sniffle- my sister," she said, bleary eyed and upset.
Courtney wanted to smirk at the girl, because it was an amusing thought, but she decided against it and continued to do the comforting thing. Because afterall, that was one of the things Courtney was best at.
END SCENE.
So chances are, if Nott finds out, he'll beat in Bagman's face and scare him off. Not because he cares, in any sense of the word, but because he can't be associated with bloodtraitors, halfbloods, and overall filth, and neither can the woman he'll soon enough marry. So when Yaxley finds out about Roxana and Bagman from his girlfriend, who obviously was bursting to tell him (anything to ruin the colossal bitch that is Roxana), he had a desicion to make. Tell his best mate that his betrothed is fucking a halfblood on the side, or keep the secret for the girl he was once convinced he was in love with. Meanwhile, Miss Roxana has some feelings she needs to sort out on her own. Bagman is different than most guys she'd fooled around with in the past, and she was certainly a lot different when she was around him. Her inner conscious (however deep down it was) was telling her that this --- Bagman had a lock on more than just her hormones. But falling for him would go against everything she'd ever thought was right in the world. I suppose everything still really is about the choices we make, isn't it?
