| The black and white colored ball rolled across the lawn of Hogwarts, catching all manner of stains , before being caught and kicked back in the direction that it had come in. It seemed such an odd thing even though around the world it was a common sport. But then again, muggle football (soccer) being played in front of a large castle where inside students were learning how to enchant said ball, was odd. The two girls kicking the ball around seemed to have played this before, or at least the one with dark blonde hair. Emilie caught the edge of the ball just as it was about to roll past her, playing with it between her legs before sending it back to her friend. And her friend, thinking that the other had just missed the ball, was jumping in joy before she realized the ball hit her square in the stomach. The girl made an ‘o’ with her mouth as she lost her breath. Emilie softly laughed and then shook her head as she walked over to make sure her friend was alright. “You know, if you weren’t so confident you wouldn’t of gotten hurt.” “And if you had any control over strengths of kicks I wouldn’t be trying to catch my breath.” The frowns that they both had on their faces would to any outsider appear as if they were about to fight but to them, they were seeing who would break first. Emilie did as she smiled and tore the ball from her friend, rolling it back and forth on her arms. “Want to go another round. We can play with a charm and have it come to us.” Not as much fun but it gave the better practice of teamwork. Emilie needed the practice if she was to prove to her father that football (soccer) was a sport and just because it was a muggle sport didn’t mean her witchness self wouldn’t play it. Having Viktor Krum as a father meant that the only sport in existence was Quidditch and he intended for all of his children to play. Succeeding at giving her a fear of heights from his ‘fun times’ didn’t deter him. “Nah, I need to catch up on some Potions work or Professor is going to nail me. See ya at dinner.” “You too.” The two broke off as the friend went toward the castle and Emilie fiddled around outside in boredom. |
