I really remember drifting off on my own, because my parents and brother were off somewhere else looking at an old barn, which i really didn't want to do. I walked for a little ways, down a path and heard a weird sound -- something i'd never heard before. I went closer and closer and peeked through the door to see a farmer slaughtering an old dairy cow. It was the most horrible thing I've ever seen in my entire life, and inspired me to become a vegetarian. I'll never forget that image as long as I live, nor how hard I cried, or how horribly I shook the entire way home and throughout the night. I'll never touch meat again, nor let anyone harm any animal so long as i can help it."

I'm not really like that.. I can be a little shy. It's easy for me to live inside my head a little bit when things get too crazy or hectic. Meeting people, I can be a little shy. But I'm really not that horribly shy around my friends -- really it's only at first. I spend a lot of time with guy friends, and with my brother and his friends, since we're pretty close. But I'll get to that later.
It's pretty rare for me to have close girl friends. Somehow it's just easier to be friends with guys because it's a really no-pressure situation. I was pretty much a tomboy growing up with Dom and his friends and I couldn't imagine my life without them all. My dad and I are also pretty close, but it's not like i'm completely alienated from my mum , or girly stuff. If my nails are painted, they're probably a super dark purple or black, and I don't like to wear a lot of make up. Usually just a smudge of something or other under my eyes. Being friends with boys is pretty simple. They laugh at immature things, which are just that much funnier because they think it's hysterical -- and they're sweet. It's nice to have a thoughtful guy friend who remembers things like my birthday and things like that. Boys are good secret-keepers too. They don't have anyone to tell that genuinely cares, so the risk of your 'reputation' or whatever shit like that, getting ruined is pretty non-existant.
It's only awkward to be friends with a guy and then develop feelings for him. I've only done that once, but it ended pretty quickly once we figured out that we worked better as friends. But.. ehh i'm not that experienced as far as romantic things go. I kind of need a boy that is patient and sweet.. maybe a little shy. Just because i can be a little shy sometimes, too. it might be nice to have someone to hide away with. i guess i'm a little romantic too. i always like to think that there's someone out there for everyone, and it's nice to think that someday i'll meet him. i love music and especially piano. it's easy for me to write melodies but i rarely ever write lyrics -- dunno if i'm that deep.. but i'm trying :] "
