dementor:”When I was around the age of nine, that was the first time he ever really seriously beat me. It was in the late evening, after dinner. Father wasn’t in a good mood that day. Something was happening in the Ministry that he wasn’t happy about. Something with the Minister or money or power, he wouldn’t tell us exactly what. Tension was what we mainly had for dinner that night. Thankfully my little sister was smart enough not to say anything. Me on the other hand, I hadn’t learned. I was always the troublemaker, you see. Even at age nine I still hadn’t learned.”
“After dinner, it was my turn to do the dishes. Even though our house elves had told my father many times that they could take care of the dishes, he didn’t listen. Said that his daughters needed to learn how to keep care of the house. Well, I didn’t feel like doing them that night, and so I just asked one of our house elves to do it. I never thought my father would be so upset. Most parents would have just spanked me or something, and that would’ve been that. Not my father. He insisted on ‘making me learn’. I’ve never been so scared in my life. If I hadn’t screamed so loudly that my sister had run in, I think he might have beaten me to death.”
personality:
Crevan has the uncanny sense to see what's wrong with a person, a situation or her environment. It's why Crevan makes such a natural critics. Crevan’s practical analytical abilities are second to none. Her mental process may not be the most creative, but Crevan's razor-like thinking is highly effective. Like the maiden pictured in the Virgo glyph, she separates the useful wheat from the unneeded chafe, the good from the bad. Crevan might be a "clean freak," but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a messy closet somewhere or a disaster under her bed.
Her motto could be "Perfect is almost good enough." On one hand, this trait makes her very employable, for she’s not likely to do shabby work. On the other hand, she can be so finicky that she puts limitations on her interactions and experiences before they happen. She’d be happier if she can learn to be selectively less critical, both of others and herself.
Crevan is typically labeled as a perfectionist. But her concern with high standards has little bearing on the pursuit of ideals; it is more a reflection of a need to have a tight grip on her environment. Crevan will also tend to immerse herself in the minutest details of how something works in order to enrich her understanding. Her sister calls this strange all the time, but Rae just says she can’t help it.
Crevan is hard working and practical. She will stand no nonsense and deal sensibly with problems. She isn’t talkative, but she doesn’t mind a good argument because she can communicate her ideas. Crevan is a penchant for details. Sometimes she is too critical, even of herself, which can cause problems with the people she cares about. Because she stands no nonsense in her approach to life, others might see her as too pragmatic.
It is hard for her to live up to the expectations she feels is put on her by her parents. When Crevan is thinking of going farther in personal relationships, she may examine herself to the point of being self-disparaging. She needs to work on her confidence because looking at herself over so violently cannot be good. Crevan has trouble accepting compliments gracefully.

history:
All her life, he was always hard on them, like they always had to prove themselves. They had to be perfect if they were ever going to be married off to a respectable pureblood wizard. Even thought they weren’t pureblood themselves, Marvin always wanted more. Growing up, Crevan was far from perfect but she loved her father so much she always did her best to please him. But when she was in the company of a certain boy all these ideals went out the window.
When her father would leave her to play with Landon, her cousin on her fathers side, she could be free, she was Crevan. She could laugh and joke, goof around and be a kid. Not having to sit up straight all the time and be polite. She then had to put on the porcelain mask and return to being the perfect little doll that was Crevan Goyle. Sometimes the mask would slip, she couldn't be perfect she was only human; she was just a little girl.
Her father would not let her small indiscretions pass. When no one was around he would maybe hit her if she said something out of turn, or place a small hex on her if she didn't do exactly as she was told or sometimes he would just lock her away in her room and order the house elves not to help her. Gregory Goyle was a harsh man, but he always felt guilty after punishing them. He would never look her in the eyes in doing so; she looked too much like her mother. In turn with this guilt he would shower her with expensive gifts or anything she wanted. He refused to let himself love her fully even though she was his own flesh and blood.
Crevan got used to this kind of treatment at a young age and with all that he did to her she still loved her father, until the beginning of her first year at Hogwarts. He broke her heart that day; he might as well have beaten her. He took away the one person that she held dear. How dare he, call someone she loved such a horrid name. Through all this hate she learned that she had to obey. Someone had told him that she was partnered up with him for Transfiguration and she ended up with a very noticeable scar, the whole length of her forearm, followed by a nice rape.
But she had to do it; Father said she had to. Ever since that year she has been asking herself why she
tried so hard to please him it wasn't worth it. She didn't see much of him during her holidays, always out on business she didn't mind at all. She hated him for all the things he did to her, all the things he blamed her for. He wasn't a father; he was a monster. If she had been more like her wanted her to be, maybe he wouldn’t have disowned her and thrown her out. She learned that you couldn't dwell in the past. What's in the past is in the past and you can never change it. So much for that perfect life.
Hogwarts ... hasn’t been exciting. It’s full of friendships and late night trists and detentions. Crevan blends in well with her Ravenclaw housemates, and disgarded the pureblood title. She didn't care what the hell her father said. The moment he found out that she had become a Ravenclaw, he had beaten her so badly. How dare his one child become a part of the house of filth? Crevan didn't care. He said he'd disown her. She'd be cut off forever, from the house, from the money. From everything. She was only eleven years old when he told her this. She promised to keep her head down and to not become 'like them'. And she’s been doing a damn good job at it, until now.
