explain the names: benedict was the name of the shakespearen haracter in much ado about nothing and lysander what the name of one of the lovers in a midsummer's night's dream. Ben's mother always loved these names and figured they would make good names for her sons.

- Ben is an animagus, so his patronus is also the shape he transforms into. This is a silver fox. this is because he is a shy sensitve bloke who knows how to hold himself. He is not sly as a fox may suggest, but like the silver fox he is graceful.

"It's about Teddy..."
"I still remember that day.... It was the scariest day of my enitre life., or maybe i should say night. It was a full moon. I mean, why not right? James had taken me to one side and was joined by Orion and Teddy. I had been best friends with them for about 3 mounths now and occasioanlly noticed that Lupin went missing once a mounth. I didn't really understand everything, but it seemed like i was about to find out."

"Ummm.... Ben? maybe you should see for yourself.'
"It was the scariest moment of my life, as the full moon rolled in Teddy began screaming. I ran towards him, only to have the strong arms of Orion and James hold me back. Something very bad was happening to my mate and I wasn't even allowed to help him just a little bit. I watched as he turned into a wolf and well, I ran... who wouldn't right?
"I didn't talk to any of them for days I was so scared... thankfully it sorted itself out, but i hate thinking that teddy, one of the strongest poeple I know has such a dark weakenig secret.... it pains me...."
personality:
- Ben has a very competitive nature. He hates to lose. He is evil when it comes to qudditch and he likes the feeling of winning. He is a champion sports player, but unlike most he is not popular at all. This could be becuase he is so shy. He hates showing any other side to himself apart from who he wants to be. Funny and quirky. However he sometimes gets this horribly wrong. An example of his "cool-gone-wrong" attitude is that he always tries the cheesiest pick-up lines on girls. Lines like "You must be tired cause you've been running through my mind all day." Poor guy doesn't know when to stop.
He is very calm and doesn't like to be too loud. He takes a seat back in arguements and likes to be the one people go to for advice. He tends for people's every needs and often forgets his own. He doesn't like to be bossed around and will often fight to be the one bossing you around, however he always likes to move away from the limelight and moving into the background sometimes. he hates losing people he loves but is not willing to give up.
He is not what one would call fierce in any aspect. He is actually very kind and gentle. I suppose one way to describe him is naive. he thinks that if he stops so will the whole world. He is intelligent, but doesn't know how to use his brains. If you know what I'm saying. He tries hard to be the guy that everyone loves and usually doesn't succeeds, he can be known to try way to hard and is definately a bit of a dork.
Ben has been known to try and be a funny guy. He likes making people laugh and wants to see the whole world smile. He makes loads of noise all the time and his jokes are often lost on people. Think Chandler from friends. Yes he is THAT dorky. He makes inapporite jokes at anything he can find and although he cares for people this can go HORRIBLY wrong.

- the best way to describe ben's life is for ben to tell you himself. so that is what he is going to do.
"I was born on the 20th october to the gryffindor graduate dean thomas and his lovely wife parvati patil. That makes me part african-american and part indian. I am the oldest Thomas sibling, which in some cases is excellent, but in others I find myself having to be responisable for my two younger siblings. Especially my sister, who I can be a little over-protective of.... in many cases.
"I was born and brought up just outside of greenwich. When you compare it to the rest of london, I suppose you could say it was the country-side but that is not enitrely true. I enjoyed my childhood there. I always saw something or someone. My parents weren't really friendly with the order, but occasionally someone would come and buy some milk from us. I supose you could say we ran a little farm. A quiet piece of land in the middle of a noisy city. People often came to the house to buy whatever my father had in store. Who would have known that my dad would become as close to a famrer as he had. The people who know him at school would have begged to differ back in the day. I know this from the stories my mother would tell me occasionally.
"The day I recieved my letter to hogwarts was a day of celebration in the Thomas house. My father quickly gave me a pat on the back and wished me luck. He told me if i was sorted into slytherin he would disown me. Of course everone who knew me would vouch that i was not slytherin material. I was a farm boy, intent on making everyone like me. Sometimes it was a curse, but other times i made friends because of it.
"That was how I meet James Potter. I was on the train, a basketball under my arm as was the norm back when I was eleven. Still is occasionally. There he was with his best mates Orion Weasley and Teddy Lupin. Those three boys were about to change my life for the better. I had never been part of a group before and when they invited me to sit next to them, I was a little shocked.
"However, it wasn't until all three of us were sorted into gryffidnor that the fun really began. We did everything together and when I found out about Teddy's little secret we all spent years learning how to become animagi. I was able to turn into a silver fox.
"For years that was how it was. We spent the whole year pranking our unsuspecting victims, then once a mounth spent the night in the shack disguised as animals. Life was good. Until Orion went and got his butt kidnapped of course."
