section oo1 -- registering and applying.
oo1 -- read all of the required information for the board before you register, please. this includes the main plots, the subplots, the rules, the canon list. the avatar claim and extra information are also suggested. =D
oo2 -- name format. please, for the love of all that is good and holy, pay attention to the sidebar. -points to sidebar- "please register with a first and last name only, and all in lowercase letters." a good example would be 'victoire weasley' or 'scorpius malfoy' . if, by accident, you register with capital letters ( 'Victoire Weasley') or a name that somehow violates our format ( 'Victoire Fleur Weasley' ), just pm one of the admins, and we'll be sure to change it.
oo3 -- respect. honestly, don't come to this site if you're an asshole. we are generally nice admins, here, but if you say something stupid and rude, i will shove a rusty pipe through your stomach, alright? respect your administrators, obviously, because if it weren't for us you wouldn't have this site, and respect your fellow roleplayers, because no one like a douchebag.
oo4 -- applying. please post all character applications in the submission forum. if you post it somewhere else by mistake, tell us ahead of time, otherwise we will deny it. make sure that you're applying here to stay, and not just to get accepted and then disappear. because if you are, we'll hunt you down. =D also, please be creative. not everyone is in gryffindor and slytherin, not everyone is popular, athletic and brilliant.
oo5 -- boy/girl. you may have as many characters as you can handle, people. if you can multitask sixteen, then have at it. but if i see you being inactive on any of them, you'll be froced to release some of them, alright? also, you cannot have sixteen girls running around this site. you may make two girls. the end. if you want a third character, it has got to be a boy. and don't make a boy just so you can make a third girl. if i see you making a boy, then making a girl and never using your boy, i will call you on it.
oo6 -- no spamming. honestly, there is a board for all the self-promotion you could ever ask for. go there. if i hear/see anyone promoting their site in the cbox, through pm, or email, or boards where it isn't allowed, i'll call you on that too, alright?
oo7 -- signatures and avatars. keep your banner height and width reasonable. if it starts to stretch the page then I may ask you to change it or modify it for you. generally, don’t go over 500 px width, and 250 px height.
oo8 -- acceptance. do not, i repeat NOT, post anywhere until you've been accepted. this means in character boards.if i see your roleplaying before you've been accepted, i will set you on fire and dance in your ashes. alright? alright.
section 002 -- in character guidelines.oo1 -- chatspeak. if i see chatspeak anywhere on the in character boards, i will skin you alive. yes, yes, it's quicker by five milliseconds, but this site is for advanced roleplayers only. if you can't manage a sentence without abbreviating something, please leave.
oo2 -- post length. as i said, this is an advanced roleplay, here. any posts under three to four paragraphs will grant you a warning. don't join if you can't live up to that. we all have writer's block -- that's okay. posting four sentences every damn time is not. if you've read through these rules, put the name of the last song you listened to in the other section of your application. also, keep it third person. none of this -- *billy cried* or 'I cried'. no. just no.
oo3 -- godmodding. it's simple. don't do it. unless you're starting a thread and you describe a person already being there, or walking with a person, just don't do it. your character is not the invincible man, and they cannot block every punch thrown. also, have common sense. as in, your fifteen year old character in hufflepuff doesn't stand a fighting chance against the seventeen year old slytherin who fights for his life on a daily basis, alright? he doesn't grow strength out of his asscheeks and kick the slytherin's face in.
oo4 -- board rating. this board is rated r, nc-17, whatever the hell you feel like. swearing, sex, drugs, alcohol, abuse, rape, violence, blood, guts. they are all allowed. in healthy doses. don't have all your threads include sex. as far as the guidelines for that, you can be as graphic as you wish. just put a little not in the thread title or your post that warns people who might not want to see your characters going at it. also, keep in mind that not every character is getting pregnant, being raped or a druggie. deaths are welcomed. just discuss this with an admin first.
oo5 -- common sense rules. keep to the tags. if a thread says 'tag -- victoire weasley' and you aren't victoire weasley, do not post. be original, too. not everyone is a misjudged slytherin trying to escape their past, or an innocent girl caught in between two seemingly perfect men, or a person with the weight of the world on their shoulders. some are, of course....but if we have to start a 'slytherins loves gyrffindor anonymous' club, i may cry. my tears are a horrible sight, for they are followed by my rage.
