Crystal Balls, Smoke and Mirrors, everything that is supposed to tell us exactly what we want to know. When will we get married? Who will become our spouse? When am I supposed to die and of what accord? The lives that we try to avoid and walk around to get to the fame and fortune. We've all had the urge to gain the ability to see the exact destination of the road we are running down, but what if the destination was merely another road? What if where we were headed was worse than where we are now? Could we handle the realization of what's to come and will eventually be?

Welcome to Quantico, Virginia, the highlight of the U.S of A. Playing host to the FBI Headquarters, this lively city is nothing like it is expected to be. With criminals on every corner and not enough agents to control them all, it's a wonder how the FBI still has a handle on the situation. But the table used to be turned, the FBI used to rule this small city. Now they just ride the uneasy waves, trying to stay afloat in the ocean of problems that they created.

It has been a year since the Crimson Tide, the day that everything went to hell. A year since every single criminal in Quantico trudged down the main street armored and motivated with one thing on their minds: Take over the Bureau. It wasn't an easy task, in fact, it was a near impossible goal. But the Night Shankers – the main criminal group – were determined and ready to sacrifice as many as they had to accomplish their plan. Still, the FBI wasn't giving up without a fight and they too were prepared to sacrifice anyone willing to die for the cause. The fight lasted for many hours, leaving so many dead and dying on the streets of the once innocent city.

The criminal outbreak spread like wildfire across the nation, giving way to new criminal outbreaks. Copycat convicts, newly demented foes, and disgustingly evil fiends began to surface, leaving what little agents were left to fend for themselves. For months the government abandoned their cherished branch of law enforcement, deeming them “Irresponsible” and “Lazy” and on occasion, “A Danger to Society”. It wasn't until Aries Constantine became public enemy number one, that the head honchos finally ate their words. Constantine, using the codename of a comic book character as his alias, became know around the world as the worst serial rapist to date. He had no specific targets and no specific patterns except for his signature, a playing card with the top right edge burned just slightly. The government called on the ones that they had abandoned for help when one of the senators daughters became victim to Constantine's wrath. The FBI almost didn't lend a hand, but Constantine hit home when one of the Agents' wives ended up being Victim #17. Right then as the news circled around the headquarters, the case became real; Constantine had become the top priority in a community that was still trying to rebuild.

But Constantine began to drop down the list as more heinous criminals made themselves known. Alexis Burtanelli was the second monster to emerge from the darkness. With her beauty to throw her victims off she became know as the man killer, for lack of a better name. She killed men at what seemed to randomly, but after taking a closer look it was discovered that all of her victims had been her classmates in high school. Third to emerge was Rayford Wilson, a hacker who had infiltrated both the Pentagon and the Air force computers half a dozen times. With skill that surpassed even the greatest computer nerds, Rayford has gained access to the most confidential files the government has and in turn has sent plenty of warnings, threatening to blackmail the nation if his demands are not met. The problem is, his demands are minuscule, asking for everything from a bar of soap to a new video game console. The FBI has cooperated in a rather bored manner, but the S.W.A.T team is starting to suspect that this hacker is making more that just a few motherboards.

Now as the once great symbol of safety fights to save the next potential victims and regain what was lost a year ago, their biggest threat has finally arrived. Going by the alias Sandman, this criminal seems to be straight from the movies. With a pattern of letting his victims fight their way out of violent inventions to prove that they really do value their lives, Sandman is the killer that no one believed could exist. Seeming to be the copycat of Jigsaw, a similar killer from the Saw movies, Sandman has thought his sick games out to a tee. But he has doesn't follow Jigsaw to to the fullest, he merely lets a silent video play on repeat to give the victim blurred instruction on how to escape their hell.

It seems like a game of suicide to join a team such as the FBI, but someone has to do it, right? With the lives of millions dangling on a string right in front of them as they crawl on their bellies to reach perfect strangers, someone has to. Life isn't a game of cops and robbers, the bad guys don't go home when the sun goes down. Violence and evil is merely a way of life, something that everyone in Quantico, Virginia has come accustomed to in just a year. Life has now come to the biggest ultimatum anyone will ever have to decide on. Choosing to stick with the good guys, the ones who promised safety and failed in a war that could have been prevented or walk with the devil in a battle that is leaning in your favor, but seems like a mirage playing tricks on your mind. It is your choice to make in the Crime Clash of the century.
