Who's to say that life ends with death?

Welcome to New York City where angels and demons stroll down the streets of Broadway just like any other human being. For millions of years the rules have been set – angels and demons may not interfere with humans directly. They were able to give little nudges – able to cause terrible natural disaster's and unbelievable miracles. Demons and angels were never to meet a human until the moment of their death, where they were rushed off to whichever fate they had thrown themselves to. But now, in the year 2008...things are different.

No longer do the demons respect God up above – instead they have risen up against the angels, reminding themselves of how Lucifer fought. No longer do they wait to grab for souls – no longer do they follow the rules of who belongs in Heaven and who belongs in Hell. Instead, when a body perishes and a soul waits, the demons don't bother to slow down for the angels. Instead they snatch up innocent souls and damn them to an eternity in Hell. Angels, frantic to help the poor souls, have begun reaching out to grab for any souls within their reach as well. As they came down onto Earth, the demon's fought back, aiming for the perfect kill. We are in the midst of a battle that the afterlife will never forget – we are in a war between good and evil.

Months have passed and yet the mortals remain oblivious to the war that now surrounds them. Instead, they go about their daily life – completely unaware of how their choices will affect their future. Some are dying in hospitals, others are planning their own death themselves, but most are simply living their day to day life never bothering to stop and think that this could be the last breath they ever took. Instead they continue on worrying about the mundane details of life – should I wear this shirt to work? Will I receive a card on Valentine's Day? Did I get an A on the Chemistry test? These are the questions that rule their lives – they are blissfully unaware to the angels and demons that walk past them daily, considering whether to steal their soul prematurely.

Still, we must all remember that the angels and demons were once humans as well. They once roamed the Earth worrying about such unimportant curiosities, caring too much about the material world. One has to wonder – how can one become someone so different, so fast? Are demons' always bad? And what of angels – are they so pure? And what of the humans who they've taken such a keen interest in – is it truly all for the good of the war, or is there something more personal hidden in the depths of the distant memories? Who's to say that some aren't holding out a helping hand in the darkness?
