Name: Tristan Licht Nicknames (Alias/AKAs): Zephyr Age: Timeless Gender: Male Family: The Other Avatars

Appearance
Face Claim: Hugh Dancy Description: Tristan is one of those sorts that takes a sort of frivolous glee in looking like God’s gift to women. He has a movie star sort of appearance. He is lithe yet well muscled in a way that suggests the employment of a high-end personal trainer or perhaps a lot of swimming.
He carries himself lightly, and walks with a fluid gait. He often seems to be in transition posture-wise. He is rarely perfectly still. Even when he is sitting, he will be nodding, gesturing, fidgeting or perhaps leaning as though he is just about to get up. When he is in motion he tends to move at a startling pace. This is not done deliberately; he simply enjoys movement and forgets the limits of his body. This does not make him prone to running, he is merely a very fast walker.
Standing at six feet and perhaps half an inch, he’s a little above average height. However, as he rarely stands in a rigid posture, he appears to often be a little smaller. When he is in motion, his size appears to be significantly greater, as though his human body cannot contain his movement.
As far as his general appearance, he has a rather classic aura of male beauty. His eyes are sky-blue, and his hair is best described as platinum blond. Although it looks similar to the bleach-blond effect many go for, it has a naturalness to it that dyed hair can’t quite hit.
He dresses more simply than one might expect given his frivolous nature. He is a belief that expensive clothes are for people who need them. With his confidence in his looks and that philosophy, designer clothes are not something he is often seen in. Jeans are a favorite as are leaf-patterned hunting shirts and khakis. Not that he hunts; he simply likes how they look. However, when he is among those he regards as important to respect he will dress to impress. He rarely appears before Drake or Mr. Piers in anything that you wouldn’t see on a sports anchor.
Personality
Likes: Long walks Good friends (Particularly Dean) Thai food The Navajo (what’s left of them, anyway) The Japanese (ditto) Music Storms Sunset Daybreak James Bond Sailing Flight Travel
Dislikes: Cynics who think themselves to be realists People who take themselves too seriously American beer Melisande Evil in general Those with no sense of humor Hospitals Prisons Alarm Clocks
Personality: His personality is one that has driven the occasional woman into near madness. He is a strange mixture of subtlety and absurdity. In essence, he is always calm except for when he is not.
Mercurial is an excellent word for him in some respects. He’s not given to mood swings exactly, but he enjoys excitement and will shift from a quiet sophisticate to a gleeful buddy with no real transition phase. When he speaks, he doesn’t “um”, “ah”, or “you see…”. He will launch right into the meat of what he is saying then stop without warning, becoming once more a silent listener.
He gestures well and frequently. A conversation simply isn’t a conversation with one’s voice alone in his opinion. He speaks with his expressions and his arms besides. Despite this, he pays little attention to the movements he makes, letting them be an undertone for the conversation rather than a sort of punctuation.
Tristan likes to stand near people in conversation. Although it may cause some discomfort at first, he can often get away with it due to his rather charming nature. As for why, he simply doesn’t care for the invisible barriers that humans put up.
In general, he gets along with people very well. He is charming and unassuming, but not above a little teasing when he can get away with it. This is mostly around Dean who he sometimes refers to as Casanova, Don Juan, or Mr. Bond.
Interestingly he has a slightly patronizing attitude towards humans. Because of his immortal nature, mortals and relatively young immortals seem like children to him. Notable exceptions are Anton Piers, Raelin Lorcan and Marcus Trellan. Although he does possess the attitude towards Martin Cook, he is careful to never let it show.
Extras
History: Tristan is one of the Original Four Avatars of the Elements. Being immortal, he has been hither and thither for centuries, watching things from behind the scenes. Although he occasionally became bored of his task and materialized he was for the most part an excellent Avatar.
Using his power a little more frivolously than the others, he’s seen a few Houdini shows and put a few Vikings underwater. He’s always taken his job seriously, but also believes that he has his power and should perhaps make use of it now and again.
Since becoming a full-time humanoid, he’s taken a liking to the Silent Knight but has become a bit concerned for his friend regarding Danae Walker. He’s lived long enough to know that mortals and immortals mixing doesn’t often work out.
Sample Post:Being out of energy, I’m going to post something I did a while back at a dead board. For contextual purposes, the character Gwyl Akyros is a medieval thief catcher scoping out a bar in the bad part of town.
Gwyl was having a slow night. He was up by the bar, with a half-full tankard loosely gripped in his left hand. The rest of the ale was on him rather than in him, and he looked for all the world like a lush. His clothes had a more expensive cut than what he usually wore, but splashed with beer and a little grime, they didn't look it. After all, no one payed much attention to the drunk.
The sword he wore at his waist was not of his usual choice either. Gilded and light as a feather, it had belonged to one of his past captures. Truth be told, only half of it was there. He had broken the blade himself in a scuffle. He would have sold the fool thing after having a smith fix it, but it was of foreign make and no one would touch it. Gwyl's preferred sword was in a satchel on the floor. It'd take him a second or two to get it out, but he had his knives until then.
He was there strictly on reconnaissance. Just scoping out the area for now, trying to figure out who was running the neighborhood behind the scenes. Gwyl only brought his toys along in case someone recognized him and wanted to play.
But the fellow who just sat down to his left smelled like trouble. Not as much a physical scent as the kind you smelled with your mind. As far as he knew, this guy wasn't local. But, he was probably worth talking to.
He put on a friendly tipsy grin and gestured to the bottle the man held, "Careful with that stuff, it's got a kick to it."
First secret line? Lying next to you, in silent lucidity And the last rule? Master of illusion, can you realize…
