Why do I have to keep it a secret?
Hide the truth in shame
I think I may have found my calling
But one of my works must be locked away
I just wanted your opinion
But I knew I had to mask it
Your opinion of me is not what I would like it to
But I can not change that
Approval is not a must
But would be the lost key to my treasury
Taking pride in know that
Something about me you do like
You may not know it
But the truth be told
I wrote that poem
That brought life to some of your words
Feelings of discovery
And a future journey
