The next morning Robin was pleasurably happy. Jake on the other hand was the exact opposite. He turned down a beautiful girl, because he liked another girl. Why did he stop himself! He was beating himself up, for no reason.
“Morning Bro!” Robin said cheerfully.
“Hi. Let’s go.” On his way to the door, he saw a message on the machine.
Hi Jake, it’s Meghan. I don’t need a ride today. Rachel’s taking me! I hope you understand. See you at school. Loveyoubye!” The last part of the message made his heart drop! She loved him? It couldn’t be possible, because he didn’t love her back. It was all, such a big mess. He knew what he had to do. Him and Robin drove to school in silence. Passing Jessica’s house was something he had to hold his breath to do. When he arrived, he felt different, he didn’t know why, but it felt different. When he walked into the doors, Meghan ran up to him.
“Can you do something for me?” Meghan asked.
“Uh sure what?” he answered.
“Find Adriana. I have to talk to her. Thanks, you’re a doll!” She kissed him lightly and watched him fade into the distance. Jessica watched the whole ordeal. She just turned around and walked. She heard footsteps behind her.
“So there’s this girl named Jessica. Do you know who she is?” Meghan asked one of her cheerleader friends.
“Yeah, I do! I heard she’s a total loser!” said her squeaky friend. She just kept walking.
“I heard she was going to turn suicidal, like her mother” Jessica’s heart froze. “What a freak! Just like her mother!!” Her and the girl she was talking to shrieked in laughter. She kept walking, holding her anger in.
“Maybe she will go through with it, like her mother did!” the squeaky girl laughed.
“Maybe she will! Hopefully she will! Are you? Are you going to kill yourself, I mean you did lose your best friend. And what? Your mom was only stressed out. You are just as stupid as you mom!!!” Jessica stopped. Meghan hadn’t expected Jessica to stop. She turned around, anger showing in her eyes. The hot tears, she held in her eyes didn’t help. Her fist’s couldn’t hold it back any more. She jumped on Meghan. Punching, kicking, pulling hair. Meghan just kept scratching. Her squeaky friend backed away, because she knew what was best for her. Tears were shedding off of Jessica’s face and landing on Meghan’s. Suddenly a large hand pulled a screaming, crying, strong Jessica off of a limp Meghan!
“DON’T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER LIKE THAT!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO HER! YOU STUPID SHIT FACED WANNABE!!!! DON’T EVER LOOK AT ME AGAIN!! YOU DON’T DESERVE TO EVEN BE HERE!!! MY MOTHER DOES!! SHE WAS A GOOD PERSON.” The hand was Jakes. She slid to the ground, him still holding onto her. She wept loudly into his shirt.
