Unexpected Surprises














Sarah watched blankly as she saw Robin run to the doors. She had misjudged him. That stupid Kelly cheated on him. She had to make it better. She followed him out the door and watched him walk down the street. She saw him walk to a little house. She walked slowly, trying to give him some time. When she got to her house she hesitated to knock on the door. She backed away a couple of times, but decided the best thing to do was to say sorry. She knocked on the door lightly and waited. It didn’t take long before a tall blonde headed boy answered the door.
“What?” Robin asked quietly, sniffing back tears.
“I uhh…”
“You what??” he asked heatedly.
“I wanted to say sorry.” She waited in silence, but only received more silence. “I just thought that that was the way you were. You know a pig. I didn’t think that you would have gotten that upset over a girl.” Robin’s face started to soften.
“Do you want to come in?” Robin asked opening the doorway. Sarah felt surprisingly calm about walking into his house.
“So, do you want to know what I’m really like. Or did you just want to give me pity?”
“Well, both,” Sarah said smiling.
“Okay well here it is. In 8th grade Kelly was a cheerleader, and I was a Jock. So it seemed only fitting to ask her out. She said yes. I was doing really good. My grades were good, everything was good. My dad, he was pretty good in money. He bought my brother a mustang. About a month afterwards he was walking down the street coming back with groceries and he ended up in the middle of a shooting. Right in front of our house. He was killed instantly the paramedics said. He wasn’t in pain. My mom went crazy. Started doing fraud. She was caught about a year ago. She has been in prison for a while now. My brother watches me. He is going to be eighteen in two months. Well back to Kelly. Life was good, even with the death. She was always there. She wanted to make me feel a little better, so she thought sex would help. She really loved me and I loved her back, so I did. That was in freshman year, before my mom going to jail. She just wanted me to be happy. When my mom went to jail, she thought it would be another good opportunity. I guess she wasn’t a virgin before me, because she craved it. When her dad and mom got divorced, that’s all she wanted. I didn’t want my life to be like that. Yeah, I did want some, but I wanted it with the right person. I had to hold her back. She eventually gained control. Then this year she cheated on me. Pretty much right in front of me. I just broke down.” He started crying. “I don’t cry very often. The last time I cried was when my dad died two years ago. Sorry.” Sarah was in shock. She was wrong. He was attractive even when he cried. She suddenly felt the urge to kiss him. She didn’t know if it was the right time though.
“Do you want to watch a movie or something?” he asked, when she was just about to lean in.
“Sure,” she answered, They gathered on the tiny couch and watched a scary movie. Sarah had seemed to not be scared, because at all the scenes Kelly would have got scared at, Sarah would just smile. Her smile was stunning, He tried to catch a glance at her every second he had.. If she was any other girl, he would have made a move. But, for some reason, he didn’t. When Jake came in holding Meghan’s hand, things got a little awkward.
“Uh, Robin?” Jake said confused at why a girl was in his living room alone.
“Hi, bro. This is Sarah,” Robin said.
“Where is Kelly?” Jake could see the question hurt Robin.
“Um, we decided that we didn’t have much in common.”
“Oh, well, we’re going upstairs. Nice to meet you Sarah.” Jake looked at Sarah, then back to Robin. He and Meghan walked upstairs. When they were gone Robin turned to Sarah.
“He approves.”
“Huh?”
“He approves of you. He likes you. He never really liked Kelly.”
“Oh, okay.” She seemed to be happy about what he had just said. “Well it’s late. I need to get home.”
“Do you need a ride?”
“No, it’s cool. I will walk.” They both walked to the door in silence. He opened the door for her and she walked out. She hesitated a little, but walked on. He started to shut the door when she decided what to do. She walked back up and stopped the door from closing.
“What are you _____” She looked at him, and pulled herself close to him. Before he finished his sentence, she kissed him. Both of her hands were on his face and could feel through his cheeks their tongues moving every which way. She seemed surprised when he grabbed her waist, then slid his hands into a hug. He picked her up lightly, still kissing her. He never had a sensation like the one he was having right now. Not with Kelly. Not with anyone.

At school, Jessica was very depressed. Her best friend and her had just gotten into a huge fight. She had never heard him yell like that before. He actually stood up for Meghan. Maybe he really did like her. She couldn’t wait to go home and see Cáel. She walked in the hallways and no one ever talked to her. They all knew she was upset. Not even Meghan, talked to her, knowing that if she said something to her, she was likely to go to the hospital. She walked home, because she couldn’t stand being anywhere near Meghan, let alone in the same car. When she arrived home, she saw Cáel’s car. He was on the phone. She could hear him talking to someone, because his window was open. He couldn’t see her, because she wasn’t directly in the way of the mirror.
“Yeah, all I have to do is say hi to my grandma, and then I’ll come over. Make sure your ready. You need to look hott! ……. Yeah, like last time! Okay I love you. Bye.” She kept walking until Cáel saw her. He jumped out of his car and came to kiss her. She let him, but cut him off.
“Who were you talking to?” He switched to her neck.
“What?” he breathed, still sucking her neck. She pushed him off.
“Who were you talking to??”
“No one!”
“It was someone!….. You need to look hott? Like last time? You’ve been cheating on me haven’t you?”
“NO!”
“Your lying. Get out of my driveway!” Her finger pointing down the driveway.
“What?”
“GO!!!” He left, not looking back. Hopefully she would never have to look at him again. She went inside to her room and cried. She felt used and hurt. If she would have listened to Jake, none of this would have happened. They weren’t even friends anymore.

In Gin’s room, Mike laid on her bed. Her Mother and Father were at their anniversary dinner and wouldn’t be home until twelve. She walked to the foot of the bed and looked at Mike, as he sat up. She looked down at him. He lifted her shirt up and undid her bra in the back. His face was buried in her stomach. He softly slipped it off and threw it on a pile next to the bed. He pulled her on top of him. She was sitting, facing him, on his knees. She kissed him and unbuttoned his shirt. Then threw it on the pile. She pushed him down, feeling his bare skin on her chest. She felt like such a whore. But, she knew that they had been dating since sophomore year. They were flipping back and forth. He was laying on the bed, her stratling him like a gym bar. He unbuttoned her pants as she undid his. He slipped hers off and flipped on top of her, so she could pull his off.

Walking into an empty room, was not the right way to go with Meghan. She thought something was going to happen. Something that Jake was not ready for. She sat on his bed, and waited patiently, even though he wasn’t going to do anything. He hopped on his computer to see if anyone was on MySpace. He had one new comment from Mike.

GET ON AIM!! I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!

He did as the little comment told him and got online.

Wilson#97 (9:39:14): Hey man! Wats goin on?
CarterLight (9:41:32): Hey! Gues wat?
Wilson#97 (9:41:58): wat
CarterLight (9:42:36): i just had sex wit Gin! it was awsum!
Wilson#97 (9:43:17): dude!!!! how?
CarterLight (9:43:42): she let me man! her parents wernt home
Wilson#97 (9:44:03): that is epic!! but i have 2 get off cal me!
CarterLight (9:44:04): dude wait!
Wilson#97 signed off (9:44:04):

He turned around to see Meghan looking at the screen.
“Wow Carter and Renalds! Didn’t see that coming!”
“You wasn’t supposed to see that!”
“I did though.” Meghan looked delightful and sat back down. Before Jake could say anything, the phone rang.
“Hello?” he answered.
“Jake!” said a familiar voice.
“Hey Gin.”
You like Jessica!”
“WHAT??”
“Don’t lie. Mike told me.”
“Mike.” Jake whispered under his breath.
“Don’t blame him though. It just slipped!”
“I heard about your night too!” The line was silent. “Yeah, I think Mike slipped.”
“Oh well,” she finally said.
“Well, I, uh have to go. Bye.
“Wa__!” Then the dial tone. He looked over his shoulder, seeing Meghan staring at him blankly. Like she was wondering what was under his clothes.
“What are you looking at?” Jake asked.
“You,” Meghan answered getting off the bed and walking towards him.
“Oh.” Jake backed up into the wall, Meghan surrounding him.
“Don’t you want to be able to tell Mike you did the same thing?”
“Uhhh” She stopped him but putting her finger on his mouth. Only lifting it to kiss him. She started unbuttoning his pants. He scooted over, buttoning back up his pants.
“What are you doing?” he asked, stunned.
“What do you think?”
“I’m sorry Meghan, I really am, but I’m not ready. Gin and Mike have been dating for two years. We have been dating for three days. Give me some time.”
“How much longer do I have to wait?” Meghan asked grabbing her jacket and opening the door. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” She walked away leaving Jake to wonder what he had just done.
