Heart that Betrays

Why have you tortured me?
Why can’t you let me be?
Here I sit, in the cold of night
With you, pursuing me to fight
You joy is having me chose,
And you’re dream is to make me lose.

What have I done to deserve this?
What have I done, not to deserve bliss?
I taste the blood you have forced upon my life
The insanity, and the strife
The answer you’re ripping out of my voice
And painfully deciding my choice

How can you stand there and let me cry?
How is it possible that you can lie?
Hearing the yells and the calls
Causing my eyes to bawl
I can’t decipher what it wants to say
I can’t believe my heart can betray….
