Push Down Deep.
Now my legs are pleading to leap;
I can no longer bear myself to weep.
The misery, the pain.
& I'm all to blame.
As you step towards he puddle of crimsion water,
You remember how you set all the fault on her.
How she begged for a way out;
For you to give her the benifit of a doubt.
She shouldn't have taken it.
But as she did, she fell apart bit by bit.
Wanting, needing you to care.
All the while you just stood there.
She cried again & again.
Asking you why & when.
When you had to change;
Why you put your heart in a cage.
Fearing what she had most;
She went ahead & popped another dose.
Again & again she popped those terrible pills.
Herself, she wanted to kill.
She couldn't stop when she got the knife;
She had had enough of this life.
She pushed down deep.
Not on emotion did she keep.
She screamed, she yelled,
As her face turned so pale.
She fell to the solid ground,
As she lifelessly waited to be found.
As you walked through her door,
You seen a bright red drop upon the floor.
& as the trail led on,
You knew in your heart she was gone.
You screamed out in fright.
& ran to hold her tight.
You held her in blood-stained clothes;
Basking in the sorrow of your woes.
no matter how much you think you love someone, you'll step back as a pool of their blood edges too close.
this is good, though you need to check your spelling.
can no longer bear myself to weep. <-- I can no longer bear to weep
Again & again she popped those terrible pills.
Herself, she wanted to kill.
She pushed down deep.
Not on emotion did she keep.
^these 4 lines sound very cliche, and the rhyming is forced, flow is interrupted.
