Pinch me
Make me scream

I'll plead again
For that time again.

Sit down, let me tell you about the old days.

There were water fights, with
Balloons and innocent guns, big and purple

The mice ran around the clock
It chimed away on the grey, small screen

Grunge had a baby
While babies sang on MTV

I could dance in the park
People didn't stare

I wore scrunchies on top of my head
My hair was long and blunt, the scrunchies were pink

You could blow sticky bubbles
They'd float in the air, happy to be free

The slides lasted forever
In brown and white

The sand wasn't clean
It was gritty

A friend you met two minutes before
Became a friend for years

Now we're all cold
All conscious of society

I still wanna shout
"Give me liberty"

Turtles aren't cool anymore
Now people are depressed

We should stop caring about our pride
Mankind is commiting suicide

Ah, yes, the good ol' 90s. Those were the days. I love it, it's very true! It's basically why I choose NOT to act my age, lol.
