Title: Wings on Fire

spiderfall - July 24, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
How'd he know that I would be here,
How'd he know that I could fly?
I've been waiting, thinking, wondering what could take him so long,
Just to tell me he didn't mean good-bye.
Walking, thinking, wondering why he wouldn't just stay gone,
Why'd he think that I'd be waiting,
Why'd he know that I'm not going to hide.

Where the answers lie I do know,
It lies within the bottle I’ve been hiding in,
It lies in these dreams of mine,
Running, laughing, crying through my mind,
Sleep tonight, tomorrow is yours,
Hold the light, hold the light.

Running, laughing, crying in the rain,
Flap your wings, pull your feet up off the ground,
I don't know where, but soon it may be found,
And I don't know why, but that's not the question:
How'd I know that it would be this way?

When’d you say that he would be here,
When’d you say that tomorrow is mine?
I’ve been flying, hiding, knowing, searching, dreaming,
Holding up the light for him that night.
Walking, thinking, wondering, running laughing, crying in the rain,
What do you know? I think I found you,
I’ll hold the light, hold the light tonight.
