Title: Too much drama?

CountessRim - May 29, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
Hey you guys! I was wondering, is it possible to have too much drama in one story? I mean is it better to have one dramatic event and let the story go from there or is it better to have event after event after (all the events relate just so you know) Help I need opions!

well it really depends on the story...

soemtimes it can be jarringly powerful.

or overkill.

depends,really.

Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (my personal fav. of the series) had lots of build up and didn't have drama till the end. Some people don't like that, but personally I think that's because they don't understand the significance of the build up. It takes a skilled writer and a patient, intelligent reader to understand works that don't have a lot of dramatic events. As long as it's written well and it has a point, it can have just as much impact as dramatic events. If it's written really well, even more impact.
;)
