Chapter 1
Jennifer: Freshman year was almost over. It was Prom night, the night when freshman’s think that they deserve a prom because their now in high school. We were all at the bottom of the power chain, if you want to call it that. The seniors had ultimate power, with a stare they could scare the toughest freshman, when they walked down the hall in their cute little packs, as if they were wolfs, everyone would step to the side. The juniors, had power over all below them, same with the sophomores. But freshmen, we had no power, no control; we were the rocks at the bottom of the well, with the water, the coins, and the bucket above us. So, that was the story of all our lives, rocks at the bottom of a well.
Emma: Prom night, formal night, chaotic night. The girls would come down the stairs in their pretty pink dresses and their parents would take pictures and cry because their little baby was growing up. None of us had dates. Boys were ignorant cowards and didn’t ask anyone out. See, girls love it when guys get all nervous and trip over themselves for something so small. Just tell us that you like us, that you want to take us to the dance, and that you’ll be honest and loving. We’ll fall right into you, maybe even onto you depending if we faint or not. But this was a night that I was going with my friends. No boys, no worries, just chatting, gossip and insane dancing if we were brave enough.
Allison: I hate dressing up, I hate worrying over if I look nice, I hate pictures of me. I didn’t want anything but to say I was sick, I can’t go to the prom, I’m so sorry. But my friends would figure it out, they all knew me, they all knew my feeble tricks. So the best I could do was a black skirt, black top and flats. Thank God I had flats. Those stupid heels that girls think they make them look taller, when they only look boozed up when they stumble. The pictures were dumb. They made me look so short compared to my high heeled wearing friends. Little elf me, I looked so weak and small. And then there’s always the stupid, boys who just stand their like idiots waiting for a girl to come and ask him to dance. Like that will ever happen. They can’t even afford their own tux, none the less, dance with those big feet. That is why I HATE the prom.
Hope you liked it, more to come, please review my story! :)
