Title: Dig

~*Athena*~ - March 10, 2006 03:35 AM (GMT)
She's walking, she's talking,
She's thinking, she's dreaming,
She's smiling, she's laughing,
She's crying, she's sighing,
She's dying inside...

Why can't they see the fracture in her smile,
or the tears hiding behind her eyes,
or the hollow blackness behind the laugh,
the insecurity in the sighs,
the depression that clouds her every thought...

She wants them to notice,
She wants them to care,
She wants them to help,
But no one knows,
No one's coming to save her...

So she takes her shovel,
and she digs herself deeper into her ditch,
Her humoungous, gaping pit,

I'm so stupid. But all I do is study. Dig
I'm so ugly. But I constantly look in the mirror. Dig.
I'm so fat. But I can't stop eating. Dig.
I feel worthless.

Is there something behind me? Dig.
Maybe now they'll see. Dig.
Something lurks in the darkness, what could it be? Dig.
Maybe I'll never know. Dig
What if I die in my sleep?

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Dig.
Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left. Dig.
If I change the pattern misery will find me. Dig.
if I speak of misery it will surely consume me.

Why can't you see the gaping hole?
It reaches to the earth's very core
It stretches till the end of the world
It's blackness in the middle of the day
It's the entrance to a cave
Until you see, this is all I can ever be. Dig. Dig. Dig.

it's a great idea you have here. however, the flow was sort of interrupted by par. 5. yet, i dont seem to care. it was original that way. made me think and feel. its how i feel.
