Title: Helpful Links
Description: Add any you know

Here
are some (hopefully) helpful links :
Fictionpress
For posting your work. It's a pretty popular site, so a good way to get
your writing "out there."
Cafepress
If you have a book written up, they'll publish it for you. The price
isn't much, and you can make a store on the site and sell your book.
PUSH Just write up a few chapters and
it might get you published!
Stone Soup
A magazine that you can submit short stories to.
Excuse Me, How Much Did it Cost You?
An essay on why you shouldn't pay someone to publish your writing.
Teen Ink
You can submit many different kinds of work, and they might publish it
in their magazine, on their website, or in one of their books.
That's all I know. Post any you know, and I'll add them to the list.

Well, for anyone that writes FanFics there's always http://www.fanfiction.net

Marzipan - May 28, 2005 10:09 PM (GMT)
Right. That's a good place. But I was thinking more in terms of getting published, and you can't really get fanfics published.

Fictionpress only puts viruses in my computer, for some reason. FanFiction I use for like my practice at writing stories. I personally think that the ones I have their suck, but practice makes perfect, right?

practicedoes make perfect like when im learning my spanish songs i have to sing em over and over again before i get em right i cant be perfect and know all the words after one time of singing same as u cant be an ecxellent story writer after only wirting one story

Well, if you're into poetry you could try http://www.poetry.com/ It's only for poetry though.
You can submitt your poems to their contests and you could win money!
And if they like your poems, they might publish them!
Me and a friend of mine both had one published by them resently, so it DOES happen!
For full details just visit the site.

Hope this helps! :D :)

Sorry to ruin your day, Dreamer, but poetry.com has been proven to be a scam (everyone who submits to it automatically wins. I sent in a poem that made absolutely no sense whatsoever (really, it was just random words in a line) and they sent me an email saying I had won.) There is a site, http://poetrynotcom.tripod.com that discusses this further.
