Aqua stood at the top of a small rise in the Socialization Grounds. The wind blew into her face, stinging her eyes and nose, but she didn't care. A light snow blew with the cool wind, and she watched as the random flecks drew closer and closer. She felt cold, like ice had frozen her heart and mind still. She couldn't think clearly or diagnose what was wrong.

She shook her head and looked to her right. No creature roamed in the barren landscape. Most had found a more permanent home to settle into. Others... well she had never bothered herself with them, they chose to live on their own. She looked to her left, she could see the sun still rising. Soon the snow would stop and she would have to leave the grounds. She dreaded that moment.

The moment that she had to return to The River of Ice was a moment that the confusion would start piling up again. Her thoughts would swirl and she would be left vulnerable. Unguarded, like a castle without a moat. She didn't want that. She wanted to stay here, to have a partial guard, that was, thankfully, the truth that hardly anyone was here this time of year.

Onzilli's legs were folded under his body. He'd fallen asleep a couple hours ago; now, when he woke up, he was terrified to see that he could see nothing but white. A thick layer of snow had fallen while he had been dreaming of Dolphin Coast, and now was over his horn.

The God of Horses could not move due to numbness. He slowly began to shake out some of the annoying feeling, very slowly so it didn't hurt him. Onzilli wondered if the beautiful waves of the Coast were frozen and if the rythmic sand was smothered in snow. This came every year, and was why he hated winter.

Aqua turned her head again to see snow beginning to fly. She wondered who had really dared to sleep in the Socialization Grounds in the middle of winter. Slowly, stumbling at first, she walked towards the moving clump. She stared a t it, and recognized it as a horse shape at once. But who?

"Who goes there?" she said, more defensively than she had wanted to. She took and deep breath and raised her head to look like the Goddess Zanzira had come to know. "Speak or I'll assume you are rogue." She tensed her muscles, just in case this horse-creature really was rogue.

Onzilli would've spoken if he could, but his mouth was also numb, and if he were to say something, it would hurt something terrible.

So he continued to unnumb his muscles. He was starting to feel less unmovable, but it would take around an hour to get ready to move himself.

As if everything was cold, depressed, one wolf wasn't. Mingan was happy with all the snow around, and since he had wind wolf in him, and a bit of calin, he wasn't too cold or too hot. He burst from the trees in a un-orderly fashion, his claws flicking snow everywhere as he ran past the two gods, without realising. Maybe Tink was here, and they could talk without anyone realising that he loved her.

"WHOOPEEEE!" he shouted as he manged to slide across the ice on the path. He felt like a teenager again, full of energy to last him for days. It was strange for small talk to be interupted by a happy alpha. How couldn't he be? He had claimed a female infront of 'that wolf who ate my shoes', found out it was winter, and saw that he could claim even more females!

"YAHOOOOOO!!!!!!! and came to a stop with a thud.

Aqua turned fast and stared as a wolf skidded through the snow. He shouted and Aqua realized that there was no place for her in this cold land. She looked at the wolf and asked herself why she had even bothered to come here. She knew that anyone was allowed to come, even the noisiest of pups. She blinked and sighed.

"Hello," her voice quivered as she greeted the wolf. "I am Aqua, Goddess of wolves." She couldn't remember if she met this wolf before. She had welcomed too many new alphas. And yet, one stuck out in her mind and made her begin to feel dizzy. She breathed in deep and held her breath, hoping that it would get her mind off of Frost.

"Hiya!" he said excitely as he shoke the snow that had gained on his white wings. "I'm Mingan, Alpha of the Glittering Snow Caps" Mingan stepped back and shook his fur, then groomed some of the things that managed their way in his lushous white fur. The goddess, was seeming to be holding her breath. Something that he would of done if he was sick, but he hadn't been seen for a while. He had met the goddess a while ago, which seemed to be years away. Surely she wouldn't remember a wolf that long ago. He had changed a bit.

"It's beautiful up there, welcome anytime, if you not busy with duties..." He knew nothing of what they did, It was a mystery to him, but one he didn't really need to know. He once caught eye of the cats goddess, who was older than most of them, but other than accepting claims, everything was blank, as blank as his white fur.

Aqua dipped her head respectfully, and let out her breath. She had to give up, nothing would clear her mind, nothing would soothe her heartache. "I would like that," she forced herself to speak. She didn't know when she would visit, but anything had to be better than spending all day at The River of Ice. "You can expect a visit from me." She noticed, again, that her voice wavered, she was surprised that she didn't stutter.

She looked back to the horse. Why hadn't he said anything? She shook her disapprovingly and warmed up her muscles. She breathed in deep, closed her eyes tight, and remembered the god meeting when the sky had been set ablaze. She sent a spark to the ground in front of the horse and it quickly grew into a fire, burning the dead winter grasses. Maybe that would help him warm up a little.
