Title: You can't have impatience...
Description: ...without the imp

Loki peered out of the cave. The young gryphon glanced back to make sure his mother was still asleep. Good. She was. He cautiously stepped out into the dawn light. The Grasslands were covered with a thick fog, perfect for a young cat to go exploring.
Loki beat his wings before gliding into the fog. He was only a short distance away when he met his first animal outside the cave: a large grasshopper. Loki crouched... then pounced toward the helpless insect. Missed! He prepared to spring after it again.

Ti'ana, was already out and exploring. She woke at the crack of dawn, and she didn't stop there, and her tawny paws silently touched the still cold earth of the Grasslands, she noticed her brother atempted to catch a grasshopper. He en'nt going to get that grasshopper like that! she laughed to herself, as she stalked her brother. The fog was a barrier, and her paws silently appoarched.
She steadied herself, her pupils widening to full moons, and her wings tucked in tightly. Her paws, claws in, and she watched. Waiting for that moment. Another successful hunt for Ti'ana. Best cub huntress in these plains EVER! Slowly, as the time was right, she blitzed into full speed, leaping on her brother...

Loki thought he was doing great. He didn't want to eat it, but the bug was fun to chase. Almost...there... He reminded himself as he prowled through the fog. He didn't notice that he wasn't alone until his sister landed on him, sending them both rolling into the mud. "Hey! What'd cha do that for?" Loki panted as he tried to regain his footing in the damp earth. All he managed to do was slip and slide into Ti'ana.

Skittle had been scanning the Grasslands for predators he should get rid of; he'd found a stoat which worried him, as it could deal pretty bad damage to the cubs if it found them. Now he smelt the two, and there was one teeny little detail he didn't like; they seemed to be away from the den.
Skittle followed the scent to the playfighting pair, and he quickly flapped into a tree rather clumsily (But thankfully quiet enough not to be heard by the cubs) so he could observe Loki and Ti'ana. He pushed his tail down and pressed his body to the branch; it was crucial that Skittle was not seen or heard. Unable to ignore an irrestistable tang in the air, he quietly pushed some soft bark aside to munch on the beetles underneath.
He decided to let them play for awhile, but after awhile, he'd go and take them home, or if the playfighting got rough. He remembered grudgingly that the stoat could find them and could hurt them with a sneak attack before he could try to kill it. Skittle knew that as a King, the job needed to be done, and soon.

After more mud and slime, Loki gave up trying to stand. He reached for and grasped the root of a nearby tree with his claws and used it to haul himself up. He inched his way onto firmer footing, shaking the mud off of his wings at his sister. He waved his tail at her tauntingly, as if to say come and get me.

Ti'ana is up for adoption but I might of well post;;
Ti'ana gave a smug feisty look back to her younger brother as she picked herself from the mud, making brown spots all over her coarse tawny fur.. She made a little 'Moarrow' that almost silently came from he throat, out through her beak. She stood, he lioness hindquarters moving themselves into position.
She leapt, aiming for his tail, but narrowly missed, landing gracefully nearby, some mud of her fur flying everywhere, then started to dig he tiny fangs into his tail, as long as the tail wouldn't flick back into her eye. It tasted of mud and fur, but she tried to ingore the taste. She pulled at it, nipping a little harder.

At the feeling of teeth pinching his tail, Loki screeched defiantly and pulled away from his sister. He dug his claws deep into the bark of the tree and started to climb. Though both siblings had working wings, Loki had an advantage his sister did not: size. As the smallest cub, he had the easiest time navigating through thick growth, like the crown of this tree. With a yowl, he vanished into the foliage, leaving only his tail visible from the ground.
