Description: Here it goes...

Ladylovele - April 4, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
The sun was sleeping, the day was young, a mare was to have her foal soon. The birds sang, and the stars danced. Soon the red scaled mare lie down to birth her foal, soon they would see it's face. The brown faced mother soon asked gently, "any idea for a name my love?" The black scaled and faced stallion soon heard the speech, he walked over to her and answered, "I was thinking we should wait until its born." She soon nodded to his answer taking in deep breaths. Soon a strong, stinging pain arose in her stomach, the foal was coming. "My love, the foal... Its coming." The pain came again, harder. She screamed from the pain. She began breathing harder and harder until a little white head was seen. Soon the foal's entire body was lying on the ground.

The young foal neighed and whinnied before finally opening it's eyes. The mother began slowing her breathing, getting up off the ground. She soon looked down at the foal, "my love, our child is... White." The father looked upon they're child, a bit deceived to what she had said. Soon he realized she wasn't lieing, "ho-how could this be? How could she b-be solid white wile I am almost solid black and you are red and brown?" The mother soon answered, "not solid white, she has green eyes. And I do not know why, my love. It is a mystery to me as well." The young foal began trying to stand for the first time in it's life, when it finally stood up it was wobbly and uneasy to this new position. It whinnied again for the comfort of it's mother. The father then quickly stated, "well, is it a boy or girl?" The mother smiled walking over to they're child, "it is a girl, a baby girl." The filly walked closer to her mother, beginning to drink the mother's milk. The father soon repeated one of his earlier questions, "so, my love, what shall we name her?" The mare, now a mother turned her gaze back at him, "if it was a boy I would say Draco. But since its a girl, how about Dracona?" The stallion smiled, "that's a fine name for a fine filly." The mother nodded, "alright." She looked back down at the filly, "then Dracona your name shall be." Dracona stopped her nursing and looked up at her mother then to her father. Her mother soon said, "Dracona, that is your father." Dracona quickly turned back to her mother, "fawthwer?" The mare nodded, "yes, your father." Dracona yawned before her mother spoke, "and I'm your mother, Dracona." Dracona looked back up too her mother, "muthwer?" Her mother nodded again, "yes, I'm your mother."

Dracona was now a young mare, oblivious still to few things. Her mother and father we're keeping a close eye on her, they never let her out of they're sight. One day, in the dead of night, she ran. She ran and ran, for days she was gone. One night as she was traveling, she met a drayagon stallion. She soon realised that she was in someones territory, "I am sorry to intrude, I did not know of a herd here." The stallion turned his gaze to her, "do not fear, I will not hurt you." Dracona bowed her head, "I thank you deeply." She raised her head again scanning his body thoroughly, his horse half was black, wile his dragon half was green. "You may stay as long as you wish, but you must stay discreet and hidden." Dracona nodded, "very well." Then one night, she heard news of a massive coyote attack. She became very worried of his survival, so she ran to where he and his herd would be, but what she found was the grassy blood spilt field with carcasses of horses here and there. She fell to the ground, weeping at his body. 'Why?.. Why did he have to die?' She picked herself up off of the ground then felt a pain in her stomach and smiled, 'He will have a child, may part of his soul live in it.' Then she began running again, to find a herd, a family.
