Dracona was tired, she had been walking, running for days. 'I'm getting tired faster and faster every day.' She took in a deep breath, then slowly exhaling it. "I sure hope some stallion will take me in." She took in another deep breath before stopping near a tree. "Well, at least there's some shade for me to rest under." Dracona walked over and underneath the tree before lying down to rest. She began breathing deeply and slowly trying to recover from the long trip.

Then something caught her eyes, it was a bird just flying to its nest in the tree. 'Oh, just a bird... I thought it would be a stallion...'

Skulni found himself back at the claiming grounds. Yellow sands was quiet now, and he was bored. He turned a blind eye toward the feline and lupine females waiting around and turned his attention to the mares. None appealed to him. He stopped behind a tree, startling a bird. As he watched its flight, he spotted the pale form of the mare resting beneath the tree's canopy. He walked up to her, turned so that she would see his good eye. "Hello. Mind if I share your shade?"

She picked up his voice and looked up at him, "no, you are welcome wherever you wish here... To me anyways." She took in another deep breath, then sighed. "No one even the mares want to be near me here." She took in another deep breath before resting her head on the grass. She looked back up at him and soon stood up to level with him.

"Why, with a visage like yours, I wouldn't be surprised. They're intimidated by your captivating appearance." He murmered it as if simply stating the truth. "What is your name, beautiful?" He asked. Good, Gods. Was this another mare, pregnant and abandonned by her family?Skulni thought as he awaited her answer.

She bowed her head and smiled, "my name is, Dracona." She lifted her head back up again smiling a bit, "and what may I call you?" She took in another deep breath.

"My name is Skulni, of Yellow Sands." He glanced out over the claiming grounds, amazed at the sudden silence of the area. He had noly been here once before, and it had been much noisier then. It was eerie. An awful stench pervaded the air. Sulfur."I think we should move... Skulni murmured as he watched a burning stone fall from the heavens, setting a nearby bush ablaze.

"A fine name that is." Dracona nodded, "yes, I think we should." Dracona began walking out of under the tree, "where to?" She took in a deep breath only to begin coughing from the smoke and ash in the air.

Skulni stopped. Indeed, if this rain of fire had occurred elsewhere already, then what was to stop it from happening in his homeland? He shook the thought from his head. The suffocating smoke was dangerous here. It would be best for them to at least keep moving. "We might as well try to make it to Yellow Sands. If we can't get there, perhaps we can find shelter between my terra and here. He started walking again, watching for and avoiding the meteors.

She nodded again, beggining to walk along with him. "Very well, as I have no other place to go." Dracona coughed again from the smoke, it was getting to her, and fast. 'Atleast now I have somewhere to go.' She coughed again.
