Title: Attention All Howrse Members!
Description: ~And Bring Your High Skill Horses, Too~
Silverstreak - December 15, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
Okay, so awhile ago, TigerGirl and I were talking about entering both of our horses in competitions to see who got a higher place. And, I decided: "Why not all of the members here who joined Howrse participate?"
I'm entering Desperado; TigerGirl was thinking about whether it should be Honey Dew or Beauty. If you'd like to join, post your username on Howrse and then the horse you want to enter. After everyone has chosen, we'll decide what kind of competition. One of the racing ones are preferable, since they have the highest pool (I've seen show jumping competitions with 20 Equus for a pool!). It has to be fair to ALL of the horses. Happy choosing!

P.S. The competition will be chosen when every horse is ready and every entered member is online. We'll have to plan a time to all get online.

Okies, we've got all the members!
Now it's time to choose the kind of competition that best suits the horses. It's obvious that galloping races suit Desperado best, but it might not be very good for others.

Are we looking at individual horses or what their breed was bred to do? I think that all our breeds (throughbreds, paints, and quarters, arabians) are bred for gallop racing to some degree or another, except maybe Arabians.... But I don't own an Arabian so I don't know what kind of competition they are bred for.

Well, here's what I think about the breeds you listed.
Thoroughbreds: Definately galloping race.
Paints: Galloping races.
Quarterhorses: Umm... still galloping.
Arabians: Jumping.

I can step out, I only have Arabians.
TigerGirl - December 16, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
Arabs are good racers! Put 'em them galloping too.
TigerGirl - December 16, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
I'm going to enter Darius; he has good stamina, speed and galloping. So can you guys wait for his traing in those to finish?
lil'eagle - December 16, 2007 07:46 PM (GMT)
See my best horse is primarily training for cross country though, except Jazzy who has barely started.
TigerGirl - December 16, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Darius is a spanish horse aka PSH.
TigerGirl - December 16, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
No I'll enter Honey Dew! *gets confuselled*
