Dragonfly dragged his paws onto the hilltop, right underneath a weeping willow tree. The stars shone brightly in the sky, and he could see Zanzira's landscape stretched out before him. Crimson flecks flickered in the dark, prominating a black-as-night pelt. Amber eyes stared into the distance, pleading for a life less miserable than his.

"Why are you doing this to me?" he asked the clouds, almost expecting a hateful response from his father. "Why? Why? Tell me, please!" His screams echoed across the world right underneath him. Dragonfly charged repeatedly into the tree bark, delibrately cutting his face.

By the time he was done, it looked like he had twice as many red flecks, though only some of that were markings. Dragonfly then laid down, sniffling. He looked closer at the stars, and thought he could make out his mother's face.

The grunts of Dragonfly awoke the homeless young drayaon, Misha jumped. She saw the the star glittering on the blue belted sky, shining into her eyes. The grunt was obviously from a male, but she was causious of going near him, what ever he was. Her family was trying track her down and kill her, she had hishonored her family. She did not love the asigned mate, and ran off, those cruel words repeated madly in her head. For a moment she had a severe headache, and realised she was closer the that male than she thought. She dip her head to have a closer view. She was very easy to see with her glissling blue scales, but she was half dragon. Misha stepped closer, *CRACK* on a twig. Her tail drooped. The black and crimson wolf would be sure to see her now. She backed off slowly, hoping that he wouldn't snarl and chase her away. She didn't want a kill, she was bloated and was feeling heavy. But her belly was bigger than usual. Was she preghant? Only the time would know.

Night time was so comforting, well at least for Lance. Something about the darkness made him feel at one with the land. The night time sky was always a very beautiful and seren thing to him. He sighed in satisfaction as he gazed at the sparkling starts that were sprinkled across the endless sky.

In the distanced he heard a kind of echoing shout. His ears perked as he looked at were he guessed it came from, another shout followed and it affirmed were it was coming from. then Lance vanished from were he was leaving a churling bundle of black smoke. He reappered and vanished in different places but was heading torwards were the sound were from.

In less than a minute he came to a hill, he was goinng to go past it if it weren't for his keen eyesight that caught sight of a fire, wolf. Black smoke swirled arounf his feet, then it faded. The smell of blood could be smelled, it was only faint though. He stared at the wolf, it was laying down and looked as if it were crying he couldn't tell from the distance he was from.

He looked at the tree next to the wolf, his eyes focuses on a low lying brance right above the wolf, in the blink of an eye he was there on the branch looking down at him. He wasn't crying just sniffling. Lance wasn't the comforting type so not much compassion stirred in his heart. He then asked with a hnt of sarcasim in his deep dark voice,"well whats the matter?" His yellow eyes peered at the fire wolf a bit deviously, of course his eyes always were devious.

Deaphriin could hear the snap of a twig and anguished cries nearby that told him that there were other creatures in this place. Sighing, he sat down, twitching his tail as he experienced one of his familier innnermost conflicts.

Go to them, a voice in his head cried. Go to them, for alienating yourself will only cause you grief and loneliness.

At the same time another protested, Stay away! They will only see through you to your heart, know that it is tainted by mourning and power.

Riin gasped suddenly. He had know he was becoming more aggresive and territorial since his family died, but was he truly craving for power? He had figured it was his male instincts, but perhaps he had thought wrong.

Slowly he shook his head and obeyed the first voice. He trotted on silent white and black paws to where he saw a shadow cat and a fire wolf. Bristling his fur slightly and flattening his ears against his skull, the cheetah chinnok ventured closer, his striped tail lashing in nervousness. Gulping in air, he franticly thought of something to say. It really had been a long time since he had talked to anyone. The thought made him feel pitiful.

Gulping another gulp of air, he greeted in voice cracked from disuse, "Uh..er...Hello?" He flattened himself to the ground, praying they hadn't seen or heard him. Oh, how foolish he felt now. Why had he tried?

That creek came from the shy, sensistive dragyon; Misha. She thought of none other than saying hello, but being more aggressive (which was quite rare) What do you want A creep tingled up her spine; was this her families trackers; close friends. She backed off, but realising she was out in the open; she hung her head long and said nothing. She felt like breathing fire, but too many pine needles were below her. She felt that she was getting lazier and heaviver by the day; all the clues that she was preghant. As if as a warning; she felt a kick inside of her. For a moment she raised her head and listened. She was preghant, heavily. Mish even forgot about the other male and started to investagate the foals antics inside of her.

Riin pricked his ears and stood up tall. He had heard someone reply. Perhaps not to him, but to somebody. Battling mixed feelings, he crept closer to the source of the noise. "Hello?" he called again, louder this time.

MidnightLance was quikly bored of the fire wolf, and notice there was more noise else were. It the ditance he saw something veering closer, a big cat by the looks of it. He blinked and vanished from the tree limb to the ground right infront of the Cheetah. "Hello," he sneered.

Riin flattened himself to the ground, his neck fur bristling in surprise. Fight back to urge to hiss, he whispered shakily, "Hello. I am know as Deaphriin." he suddenly faltered, wondering how much to say. He decided on a friendly approach. "But you can call me Riin." Swishing his striped tail nevously and not letting his white gaze slip from the shadow cat's.
